About Clara

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a setter, I thrive on pushing tempo and running a fast, unpredictable offense. I'm dynamic at the net and in transition, constantly reading the defense to create scoring opportunities. I love using quick sets, tempo changes, and smart decision-making to elevate my hitters and keep the game fast-paced. My background as a DS has made me an all-around player with solid court awareness.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a competitive, focused, and team-first athlete who thrives under pressure. I stay composed and adaptable, always looking for ways to support my teammates and help the team win. Whether it's leading on the court, stepping into a different role, or encouraging others, I bring energy, positivity, and a strong work ethic every time I step onto the court.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a setter where communication and trust are key, I have developed strong leadership and teamwork skills. I have learned how to stay composed under pressure and support my teammates on and off the court. I also volunteer in my community and am working toward my Silver Cord hours. Those experiences have helped me grow in responsibility, empathy, and time management.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I didn't make a club in my first season, I chose to become a practice player instead of giving up. I showed up, supported my teammates, and learned everything I could. That experience made me hungrier to grow and confirmed how much I love the game. My brother was also born with a heart defect and has had three open-heart surgeries. I'm proud to be his sister, as he is one tough kid.

Chandler’s Ohana team surprised some folks at the Iowa Regional Qualifier. She and her mates served notice that they could play even if operating for a smaller club. Chandler epitomizes that underdog approach, taking it to opponents no matter their reputation. She showed that confidence again at the Midwest Live Showcase in late May. Controlling the action on the court, Chandler is developing as a setter with a powerful swing to be a threat at the opposite pin. With how hard she works and with versatility in her game, it feels like the ceiling is high for Chandler.
