There’s something special about Iowa Region outside hitters who can do a little bit of everything. Adamson has spent much of her prep career on the left pin, churning out clutch kills in the frontcourt and forming a solid block at the net. However, Adamson also wields an exceptional platform as a primary passer and logged valuable defensive reps at last weekend’s showcase. Iowa PowerPlex 16U Nelson will have no shortage of lineup options with Adamson in the mix.

I’ve become familiar with Adamson’s game this club season watching her operate with Plex at the Northern Lights and Iowa Regional qualifiers. The sophomore-to-be proved worthy of attention then and again when competing at the Prep Dig Iowa Midwest Live Showcase in late May. Adamson is aggressive on the attack, generating power from an impressive leap and torque within her swing. She looks comfortable hitting from the opposite pin, but her skill set would work on the outside as well. Adamson’s hang time allows her to read defenses in the air and find holes to exploit.
