Cooper’s play caught my attention at the Iowa City High tournament in 2024, the beginning of her freshman season. That’s usually a good sign of things to come. That was the case when I saw her again at City High for the 2025 event in early September. After playing more right side as a ninth-grader, Cooper flashed high upside hitting from the outside in this one, while also improving on the right side. She defends well in both spots. Cooper is increasing the power in her attack as she adds strength and consistency to her swing. She has a good feel for the game and sees the court well. That helps Cooper get the most out of her talents. She should be soundly on the recruiting radar at this point.
