Playing primarily as a defensive specialist this past weekend after Dreves took on the libero role, Reiter covered tons of court from the left back and helped hold down the OJVA 17-1 team’s back row. She is an insanely quick defensive player with an impressive reaction time, constantly on her toes and diving to make plays. On serve receive, Reiter showed off her control and consistency, proving why she is tied for #2 in the defensive specialist/libero role for the class of 2024.

The Camas libero fires up the OJVA 17 Gold backline defense. Cat quick with an excellent ability to read the opposing offense, Reiter and her squad will compete in the Open Division. OJVA has talented players from Oregon and Washington- keep an eye on recent Old Dominion recruit Elisabeth Levick, powerful middle Hailey Heytvelt, and another Camas standout, Avery Walunas.

Leading the backline for OJVA-17, Reiter is locked in and was passing nails at the Matt Hartner Memorial in Eugene. The Oregon Juniors 17 team is headed for the Triple Crown NIT in Kansas City over Presidents Day Weekend, a rugged invite-only tournament. Reiter can make game-changing plays all over the court, it’s never going to be easy to put the ball away for OJVA opponents. The Camas star is teaming with Sydney Dreves from Columbia River among others on this outstanding squad.

Reiter is a top defensive specialist in the class of 2024 from Washington state. With the 2024 Washington rankings recently released, Reiter took the #6 overall spot and the #2 defensive specialist. She is coming off a fantastic high school season with Camas, where she was named 4A GSHL Co-Player of the Year. This is an incredible honor for any athlete but is almost unheard of for a libero. This speaks to not only her skill on the court but her attitude and court presence, which obviously made an impression on opposing coaches. She is incredibly solid and technical on serve receive, allowing her team to execute a faster offense. Defensively, Reiter is fast and does an exceptional job reading the attack. Her back-row play will be instrumental for this team to compete at a high level.

Reiter is extremely talented, it’s splitting hairs between the two top liberos in the state. There is a good reason she ranks in the top six of players overall in the 2024 class. Reiter put the state on notice at the WIAA tournament as a sophomore, then backed up that work with some unbelievable play during club last season. She has a great first step when she is covering tips and her hitters, and has special acceleration when she runs down a misplayed ball. It will be a defensive dream if her OJVA squad matches up with WVBA and Alyss Kelley at some point this season.

Reiter was all over the court defensively dealing with a Spudder offense that attacks with power from all positions. She has an advanced feel for a serve that’s going long and challenges a team to serve where she’s not, taking a big chunk of the court when she lines up. Her feet get set as the hitters swing, and she can make a move left or right to dig out the shot from any angle.
