Vitera is already a household name on the Nebraska prep scene after she helped Papillion-La Vista finish runner-up last fall. She still manages to raise the bar anyway and found another gear in Orlando. River City Jrs 17 Navy knew where it was going after a good pass. Vitera works around blockers with her lateral quickness and is a lethal slide scorer in two-hitter rotations. Of course, this 17 Navy star can also slug the ball down on the quick. The Monarchs will be happy to have Vitera for one more season.

The junior leaders keep rolling in for Papio. Vitera’s emergence as an offensive weapon assured that the Monarchs had clear six-rotation dominance in the middle. Though Vitera was slotted as the M2 who was mostly in the frontcourt during three-hitter rotations, she was able to wield her strong one-footed attacks and was dangerous behind the setter. This sets up a potential move to M1 next year, where Vitera should pick up right where she left off.
