Jones (pictured) played with a number of the current teammates from last year so she is familiar with where they like balls and is putting them in position to succeed with great touch. Jones for the most part makes sure defense don’t know which way balls are going. She consistently makes the right reads. Jones can even perform the back set. She still leans some on those back sets tipping off defenders, but it is improving every time she takes the court. She has eclipsed 1000 career assists for her high school career and those numbers will continue to climb throughout the rest of her high school and club careers.

Jones once again displayed why she is one of the top setters in the state with her command of the offense. Jones involves a number of hitters with dynamic one, four, five and back sets. Jones won a key joust in the fourth set and consistently delivers with her serving and first touches. Jones said the Valkyries do a good job keeping each other in a good mindset whether leading or trailing in games.

Jones puts balls in the hot spots of her hitters, especially Mains and Ella Breeze Ella Breeze 5'9" | OH/DS/L Rowan County | 2028 State KY . Jones executes a number of sets well such as back sets and puts setovers to the middle of the court to surprise defenses. Jones makes good passes and sends hard serves to different parts of the court. Jones sets up strong double blocks to force balls high and wide.

Jones dramatically improved during club season helping the A.61 team go 50-19 with two tournament championships and a 13th place finish and Consolation Division A bracket crown out of 122 teams in the AAU National championships in Orlando. Jones reads defenses and communicates with teammates well, getting a number of teammates involved. Jones does a variety of long and short sets. Jones can set to the back row, especially on pipe plays and do the back set. Jones also mixes in setovers to the 10-foot line. Jones has a good platform setting the team up well with first touches and has a hard line drive serve that often takes opponents out of rhythm. Jones said she’s been working on getting more consistent with her sets. Jones recorded 625 assists, 316 digs and 68 aces for A.61 this spring.
