Captain of a program ranked 5th in California and 49th nationally is not a title given to a player because she passes well.

wears that role because of what she does between the whistles and committed to the University of San Diego she has built the kind of back row presence that makes an entire defense feel more organized. Our Prep Dig scouts evaluated her at a college camp and used specific language worth noting: one of the most impactful defenders on the floor, steady focus, applied feedback quickly, executed every concept within each drill. The 604 career receptions she carries into her senior year and the 3.6 digs per set she is posting this season are the statistical backdrop for a player whose instincts and communication elevate the people around her as much as her own production. At 5’5″ everything in her game has to be built on positioning and anticipation and both have been working at a high level all season on a schedule that includes some of the top schools in the country. We are very proud to have her listed in our publication. Please help us congratulate her on earning this well deserved recognition.

Brynn was one of the most impactful defenders on the floor. She read the deep angle early, moved with purpose, and covered the entire backcourt with consistency. Her ability to chase balls down and extend rallies shifted momentum multiple times. Brynn handled some of the hardest swings in the gym and turned them into quality touches. Behind the service line she delivered a versatile jump serve that could drop short or drive deep into corners for clean aces.

brought steady focus and communication to the college camp. She took pride in staying locked in, applying feedback quickly, and executing the concepts within each drill. Her attention to detail and ability to adjust mid-rep reflect the kind of coachability that translates well to the next level. “I felt proud that I was able to stay locked in, receive feedback, and communicate well,” she shared.
What stood out most to Brynn was how detailed and hands-on the college coaches were throughout the session. Their specific feedback helped athletes make immediate changes and better understand how to meet expectations at the next level. The experience gave her a clearer understanding of what she’s looking for in a program, one that balances support and challenge. Her advice to other athletes is: “One mistake does not define you, so don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Go in with a clear mindset, be ready to learn, and show up all in.” ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247
