After experiencing such a bad year last year with a 3-14-1 record Bullis dropped to the less competitive Division I in the Independent School League (ISL). Expect this to be temporary with their two frosh dominating the court. Sai Herndon-Brown Sai Herndon-Brown 5'11" | OH The Bullis School | 2030 State VA and Kaila Banks Kaila Banks 5'10" | OH/RS VA rank as the top two hitter for Bullis this year. Their offensive performance has jumped the Bulldogs off to a 5-0 start.

Sai Herndon-Brown Sai Herndon-Brown 5'11" | OH The Bullis School | 2030 State VA leads the team in kills with a .251 hitting percentage. She also shows her excellence playing six rotations, leading the team in digs as well as ranking second in service aces. Sai teams with Nadia Wooten Nadia Wooten 5'11" | OH Bishop O'Connell | 2030 State VA to make a formidable left side combination for Metro 14. Both continue their domination playing for their high schools.

Sai ranks number five in the class of 2030.

Sai has made the varsity for Bullis. Already she has made an impact. Bullis has won their first two matches this season, which is one less than they won all last season. Sai leads the teams in kills averaging close to four a set.

As a frosh she still makes her fair share of hitting errors but when you have a six rotation player who can lead the team in digs, serve reception and kills you tolerate the occasional error.

This past season she combined with Nadia Wooten Nadia Wooten 5'11" | OH Bishop O'Connell | 2030 State VA to make an impact on the left side for Metro 14. They are clearly the most talented team in the Metro area.

Nadia Wooten Nadia Wooten 5'11" | OH Bishop O'Connell | 2030 State VA is an impressive outside with her 10’4″ approach jump and impressive swing. Sometimes the other outsides on the team get overlooked. One of those would be Sai, who can also put the ball away at an impressive clip. She also is not afraid to hit the floor doing her best to keep a rally alive.

Now that the club season is complete, Sai will take her skill level to Bullis where she will do her best to resurrect the success the Bulldogs carried a couple years ago. It may take some time, but Sai has the skills to give the volleyball program there a jump start. It would be a shock if she did not have an impact on the varsity her frosh season. With Bullis she will definitely stand out as the star attraction.

Call Sai and Nadia Wooten Nadia Wooten 5'11" | OH Bishop O'Connell | 2030 State VA the dynamic duo. Not a lot of teams have the quality of those two outsides on their team. They have length, athleticism and hustle that allow the two to play six rotations. Despite their length they both frequently crash to the floor in an attempt to dig a ball.

Sai will reinvigorate a Bullis roster decimated by graduations and transfers after their first ever ISL championship two years ago.

Two years ago Bullis won the Independent School League (ISL) championship for the first time in school history. With massive graduations mixed in with departures they finished at the bottom of the ISL last year.

Sai hopes to change that. She was the other left side for Metro, opposite Nadia Wooten Nadia Wooten 5'11" | OH Bishop O'Connell | 2030 State VA . While Nadia won the MVP award at the Capitol Hill Classic this past season at 14 U Sai took the honors for best attacker.

It should not be a problem for Sai to earn a starting spot for a rebuilding Bullis team this coming year. The top talent on the roster will be a little thin. Sai may even lead the team in kills when the season is done.
