Why the rise? Azavedo has always oozed athleticism on the court but has skyrocketed in terms of improvement over the past few months. She has confidently anchored the back row of Athena 16-1 Gold this season as the primary libero. Her solid ball control on serve receive has only gotten better. However, the most significant strides in her game have been on defense. Her ability to read the attack and put herself in a successful position to dig the ball has dramatically improved. There is no question she is going to be a top recruit coming out of the State of Oregon from the class of 2026.

Why the rise? Blake has really honed in on her attacking abilities this club season. She has greatly improved her “terminability factor”, so to speak. A versatile player, she can shine in any position across the front row. She has become an offensive threat for the NPJ 16-1 National team. Already an impressive player to watch, she still shows a lot of potential as a six-rotation pin.

Why the rise? Doan-Mitchell’s attacking range has improved a lot this club season. She is a physical six-rotation outside hitter, not afraid to unload on the ball. She attacks the ball high and deep to rack up kills. Obliterating the ball down the line or barrelling it into the deep cross corner, she consistently creates point-scoring opportunities for herself.

Why the rise? Hildenbrand has found a home in the back row this club season. Prior to this year, she was attacking on the right pin, as she is an explosive leftie. However, standing at only 5’6”, she became limited by her size at a more competitive level. Honing in on her ball control abilities this season, she has thrived as a defensive specialist/libero with OJVA 16-1 Gold. She is incredibly speedy and is improving her ability to read the attack. She is a scrappy player that will lay out for balls and do anything to keep the play alive for her team.

Why the rise? Troche was an unsuspecting middle blocker at the beginning of this season but was hard to ignore by the Regionals. Her attacking arsenal is continuing to grow, adding the ability to run a terminal slide and three to her toolbox. She has become a more aggressive blocker. Her footwork and speed to get to the pins have also progressed nicely.

Why the rise? Schnell has shouldered a significant load with G3 16-1 this season as their primary setter. Getting to execute a 5-1 primarily, she continues to improve with each match she plays and has improved rapidly this season. She does an exceptional job involving her middles and runs them on more challenging passes, making Schnell hard to predict, keeping defenders guessing. Athletic, dynamic, and speedy, she has all the tools to be a top setter out of Oregon for her class.

Why the rise? Hawk showcases a lot of natural talent in her setting abilities, with a soft touch on the ball and athletic feet. Standing at 5’11”, she can execute a 5-1 or stay in to attack on the right side. Her leadership and confidence on the court has grown as her skills have continued to improve. She is definitely a setter to keep your eyes on in the coming seasons.

Why the rise? Krauss has been an anchor to the Webfoot 16-1 team’s back row this club season. She is steady on serve receive, getting her feet to the ball quickly to put up a settable ball. On defense, she is incredibly speedy and showcases an ability to chase down and dig balls that seem ungettable. From the service line, she brings a tough jump float with some serious drop to the ball that proves hard to receive.

Why the rise? Comer was an absolute force this club season for OJVA 16-1 and was instrumental in their #1 finish in the 16U CEVA Region. Continuing to hone her craft across the back row, she made significant strides to her defensive game this season. She is quick to react to the attack and is able to keep the ball alive to keep the team in rallies. Skill aside, she brings great energy to the court, infectiously positive and competitive.

Why the rise? Da Silva Corsi was a definite mis-rank! With no recruiting presence online until this club season, she was hard to find information about prior. But once seeing her in action with PVC 18-1, it was clear she deserved to be moved way up the ranking list. She showcased her range and versatility this season. Although undersized, she can hit in the front row with well-placed swings, chips, and tips. Where she really shines is across the back row; with a quick reaction time, she is able to pick up the toughest of balls. Da Silva Corsi demonstrates no fear, sacrificing her body to keep the ball alive.

Why the rise? Morgan has shined this club season with OJVA 16-2 and really came into her own. She was an instrumental piece of the lineup and critical to their success. As a six-rotation pin hitter, she was able to showcase her range as an attacker. With a big vertical jump and an explosive approach, she is a lethal attacker when she connects with the ball. However, she is also smart about when to swing, when to tip, when to utilize the block, and when to use a shot. Previously in more of a defensive specialist role, her play across the backcourt is steady and reliable.

Why the rise? Paulson is an athletic pin hitter. She shouldered a large offensive and defensive role with Athena 16-2 this season. She is calm and consistent across all aspects of the game. On serve receive, she is calm and collected, passing consistent balls for setters to execute the offense. On defense, she is disciplined and reads the attack well. As an attacker, she has a quick arm and a great snap on the ball. She places her swings well, finding holes in opponent’s defense.
