Unfortunately, the event sold out about one month before the event. Prep Dig tried to set up another event to accommodate the waiting list, but there just was not enough time to put it together.
Below are the frosh in alphabetical order who will be attending. If you are preparing for the future, there are some top level players that are sure to impress.
Asiya Bakr Asiya Bakr 5'5" | DS/L Rock Ridge | 2027 State VA (Rock Ridge) – She ranks at number 33 in our class of 2027. Asiya made the varsity for Rock Ridge. While the Phoenix appeared in the Class 4 State championship they got eliminated in the first round. Asiya saw limited playing time this year but with the departure of Isha Uppalli Isha Uppalli 5'5" | DS/L Rock Ridge | 2024 State VA the libero job could be hers next year.
Highlights
Chloe Barth Chloe Barth 5'9" | RS James Madison | 2027 State VA (Madison) – She ranks at number 23 but that may rise after her performance for Madison. She played right side for the Warhawks, one of two frosh contributing to their appearance in the State championship. Her 5’9″ height might be better suited for the left side, but she has a nice vertical with a quick wrist snap that puts the ball to the floor quickly.
Highlights
Kate Bickel Kate Bickel 5'6" | DS/L Holy Cross | 2027 State VA (Holy Cross) – She handled the libero position towards the end of the season, helping Holy Cross win the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) championship. Not yet ranked but that will change after the updates in December.
Highlights
Caycee Chhum Caycee Chhum 5'7" | S Georgetown Day | 2027 State VA (Chantilly) – Love the aggressiveness of our 10th ranked player in the class of 2027. That makes her the top setter in the class. Chantilly got to the semi-finals in the Regionals but lost to the eventual state champion Langley. She stands just 5’6″ so without some growth she may be restricted to a 6/2. She has been voted best setter at the Capitol Hill Classic in both 2022 and 2023. Also earned a spot on the Concorde District first team, a rarity for any frosh.
Anna Dierks Anna Dierks 5'9" | S West Springfield | 2027 State VA (West Springfield) – During the playoffs she was setting a 5/1 for West Springfield. She also set for Paramount during the Junior Nationals, leading them to a 13th place finish in the National Division. Her setting seems to create success which is what elite setters accomplish.
Highlights
Ana Djordjevic Ana Djordjevic 5'7" | DS/L Richard Montgomery | 2027 State MD (Richard Montgomery) – A very steady back row player who was instrumental in the Rockets winning the Maryland Class 4 state championship. For most high schools she would start at libero, but Cassandra Bradley Cassandra Bradley 5'6" | DS/L Richard Montgomery | 2024 State VA held that position (another player who will show off her skills at the Expo). Ana still tied for second on the team in service aces. She sits at number 16 in our 2027 ranking.
Highlights
Lexiana Everetts Lexiana Everetts 6'0" | MB | Right Hand Colonial Forge | 2027 State VA (Colonial Forge) – Have yet to see her play. She played on the junior varsity team but stands 5’11”. Her varsity teammate sophomore middle Jasmine Williams Jasmine Williams 5'11" | MB Colonial Forge | 2026 State VA will also be there.
Highlights
Erin Green Erin Green 5'11" | RS Chantilly | 2027 State VA (Chantilly) – She made the varsity for Chantilly. She played right side and ranked third on her team in blocks and fourth in kills. This will be the first time we see her play. At 5’10” she brings some height to the court.
Highlights
Taylor Harrington Taylor Harrington 6'2" | MB Wakefield | 2027 State VA (Wakefield) – Taylor raniks number one for the class of 2027. During the club season not a lot of middles could stop her, even when most of her sets were high twos. Even at Junior Nationals opponents knew the set was coming her way but had difficulty stopping her. With her in the middle Wakefield had one of their better seasons. At 6’2″ she has the height and the athleticism to make a difference on the court.
Highlights
Kamilla Hendrix Kamilla Hendrix 5'8" | S Freedom | 2027 State VA (Freedom) – One of six players at the Expo who played for me before they hit their teenage years. She had the hands to set but the team needed outsides. Unfortunately, with Molly Gardner Molly Gardner 5'8" | DS/L Briar Woods | 2026 State VA , Clara Jolly and Annabelle Kim Annabelle Kim 5'8" | S Heritage | 2027 State VA that team was flush with setters. Molly now plays libero for Briar Woods, Clara sets for Loudoun County and Annabelle for Heritage. Looking forward to witness how Kamilla has progressed now that her position is as a setter. A very athletic girl who played for the Junior Varsity last year.
Annabelle Kim Annabelle Kim 5'8" | S Heritage | 2027 State VA (Heritage) – Annabelle has some sweet hands. Love her hustle and her dogged determination on the court. She stands 5’8″ but her jump needs to improve for her to play front row. Last year she played for Paramount, but this year she will play for Virginia Elite. Annabelle set a 5/1 for Heritage in a scrimmage but had to be removed after the second set because of a sprained ankle. Annabelle ranks at number 24 in our class of 2027. She earned a spot on the second team for the Dulles District.
Kayla Luther Kayla Luther 5'8" | OH Loudoun County | 2027 State VA (Loudoun County) She played for me the only time I coached at the 12 level. She was already a pretty accomplished left side hitter at the age of 11. At that time the only issue preventing her from hitting outside in the future was her growth. She now stands 5’8″ but she works hard to improve her game. Her approach jump at 14s was 9’3″. She played libero for one year at Metro enhancing her all around game to allow her to play six rotations. Kayla ranks at number seven in our class of 2027. Sydney Reed won player of the year for Virginia when she played for Flint Hill as a 5’7″ left side. She now plays libero for Wisconsin. Never doubt determination.
Highlights
Kieran Rhoton Kieran Rhoton 6'0" | RS Independence | 2027 State VA (Independence) – She ranks number five in our class of 2027. At 6’0″ she can put the ball down hard from the right side. With Metro the right sides do not get a lot of back row opportunities. The Metro 16 team appears loaded at left side so right side will continue to be her position. A difference maker on the court when playing the front row. She finished fourth on the team in kills but placed at the top in overall hitting percentage.
Highlights
Alli Robinson Alli Robinson 6'1" | MB Flint Hill | 2027 State VA (Flint Hill) – At 6’1″ she brings height to the right side. Because Flint Hill carried a number of offensive weapons Alli did not get a lot of opportunities to show off her offensive skills. Her presence on the right side was to contain the left side hitter. She did that well finishing third on the team in blocks. Alli can also play middle. Her rank sits at number 21 in our class of 2027.
Danika Swanson Danika Swanson 5'9" | S Patriot | 2027 State VA (Patriot) – Got to see her set a bit in a scrimmage. It appears she took the Pioneers main setting role, finishing at the top in assists as well as second in both digs and service aces. She should find herself in the rankings once they are updated in December.
Highlights
Jasmin Tucker Jasmin Tucker 6'0" | OH St. Pauls Girls | 2027 State VA (St. Pauls Girls) – Jasmin just missed making our class of 2027 All Star team after the club season ended. She stands 6’0″ and led her team in kills in a limited scheduled. For Metro Jasmin hit left side, bringing some good heat to her kills. She ranks at 15 in our class of 2027.
