These athletes coming to Prep Dig Madness in Miltown held at the Milwaukee Sting Center. Action starts at 8 AM, Saturday morning with the final matches being played on Sunday night. Here are over 15 athletes to keep tabs on coming into the weekend.
I am excited to see the progression of Heitzkey who was a big time standout at the Prep Dig Resolution to open the season. The six rotation outside is a big time point scorer where she can attack from either pin as well as the backrow. She was a key contributor for her varsity team as a freshman and I would anticipate her having a big sophomore season. Her length is an issue for the other side of the net.
Highlights
Vetter was another key contributor to her high school varsity team as a freshman as a libero. She is the commander of the backrow for I AM VBC 15 Red who has been near the top of the Badger Region all season. This is a well balanced attack where they have athleticism, length, and firepower. Vetter brings an aggressiveness and scrappiness to the libero position where she is sure to keep the energy going on her side of the court

Elsa Bloom
Bloom was a standout for Elevate out of Western Wisconsin in the Tomah area at the Prep Dig Resolution to kickoff the season. She has plenty of athleticism and will be sure to hit the bal square. She will be one of the key point scorers for the Queen Bees who will be in the hunt, looking for a gold pool appearance on Sunday.
Kirsch has been the QB1 for MKE Sting 15 Silver who have put together a really nice season and will be playing on their home court at the Milwaukee Sting Center this weekend. Kirsch’s game starts with great footwork, getting to the ball where she has plenty of go-to attackers. One of the top attackers will be Maylee Glaser Maylee Glaser 5’8″ | OH Kettle Moraine | 2027 WI who is a big time point scorer from anywhere on the court.

Gagas was a standout for Flight 15 Black at previous Prep Dig events with the Resolution and Champions cup. Flight is back for “Madness” and Gagas will be a key player for her team where she has plenty of length and athleticism where she can find ways to score points.
Highlights
I was able to see South Shore Slam at the Champions Cup a few times and was impressed by their athleticism as a team. Halverson was really active on the pin. She is an outside hitter who can attack from anywhere on the court and has no fear when it comes to swinging big. One of her setters who will be sure to give her some great opportunities is Mykenna Weigert who was a key piece to their success at the Prep Dig Champions Cup.
Addy Oldenburg is a Class of 2027 middle blocker to keep tabs on. As 15s player, she is 6’1, and has a really strong presence in the front row. She has great mobility that allows her to put up a big block and transition to be available as an attacker. She preps at West Salem High School just East of La Crosse. This Xtreme VBC Squad has a very balanced squad where they had a big March and will look to continue their momentum into Milwaukee this weekend.

So dynamic and athletic, Caffery will be a key player as a setter for Iowa Select 15 Mizuno coming out of the Quad Cities. Caffery was one of the top freshmen setters in the state of Iowa this past fall. Iowa Select is one of the top clubs out of the Iowa Region and will be one of the favorites heading into the 15s division this upcoming weekend. Caffery has two high school teammates (Wilton High School) with her who will be key players this club season and this upcoming fall in in Abren Bazal and Anistan Holladay Anistan Holladay DS/L Wilton | 2027 IA .
Newcombe was a big time standout at the Prep Dig Resolution for Sting United 16 Black. She has a very active arm where she will most likely score points from the outside, but she can be utilized in a variety of ways. Sting United 16 Black has notched some big time wins this season where they advanced to the gold bracket of the Badger Region Qualifier and are in line for a bid to USAV Nationals in Vegas.
Sting 16 Silver has been dominant in Prep Dig Events where they took home the crown of 16 Club at the Resolution and again at the Champions Cup. Isabella Webber Isabella Webber OH Catholic Memorial | 2026 WI has been a standout in these events with her ability to put a ton of pace on her swing. She hits the ball square, making it really difficult for the other side of the net to receive and keep in system. She preps at Catholic Memorial in Waukesha and will be one to watch.
Hansen was a standout at the Prep Dig Resolution where she is a super smooth setter. She has great footwork where she can get to the ball and receive it neutral, keeping the other side of the net guessing. She has really soft hands where her hitters can really swing big from her sets. She preps at Hillsboro High School which is always a small school program to watch in Wisconsin.
Foor has been rising among 2025 outside hitters where she is a high flyer. Her approach into her jump is impressive where she has quite a reach. She preps at La Crosse Aquinas High School where she has been a key athlete for the Blugolds. This weekend she will be a key point scorer and six rotation outside where we have a deep 17/18s field.
Highlights
Vaughn is from the Class of 2026 playing up on the 18s squad for this club season. She is a really athletic and physical libero where she can score points with her serve, get her side in system on serve receive, and can take pace off a hard driven ball for her setter to have some options. She plays with a high IQ and is also a veteran beach player where she has competed in some major sand events. Flight 18 Onyx has some scrappy athletes and attackers where they will be looking to do some damage on day one and have a chance to go for the gold on day two.
Highlights
Holman is 6’1, left handed and quite a force on the right side for Infinity 17 Navy who have put together a really strong club season so far. The 2025 prospect preps at Mount Horeb out of the Madison area where a lot of these Infinity kids are from. She can score in and out of system and can really establish a strong block.
Lippe is a major high flyer on the outside where she can sky and find her spot to hit on the other side of the net. She is explosive where she packs a lot of pop in her swing. She is a six rotation player who can do a little bit of everything. Sting 18 White has had a successful season being in the top part of the Badger Region and will be in the hunt this upcoming weekend as well.
Georgia Koscielak Georgia Koscielak 5’6″ | DS/L Whitefish Bay | 2024 State WI has always been a name to know in the backrow throughout her career. The future Minnesota-Duluth Bulldog has been one of the top liberos in the Class of 2024 out of Wisconsin. She will be a key part to Sting 18 Black this upcoming weekend. This Sting team won the Badger Region Qualifier and will be in the National Division at 18s USAV Nationals in Baltimore in two weeks.
Illinois State got a major instate prospect in Ruth Ziegler Ruth Ziegler 6’3″ | MB Warren Township | 2024 State IL who is a 6’3 attacker who will most likely score from the right side or middle. She is a dominant force when it comes to her swing or setting the block. This Sky High 18 Elite team has been a core group that has played together for years where there are multiple D1 commits including future Iowa duo Jaimie Marquardt Jaimie Marquardt 5’9″ | DS/L Libertyville | 2024 State IL and Jenna Meitzler Jenna Meitzler 6’1″ | S Barrington | 2024 State #117 Nation IL . Their day one match up with MKE Sting 18 Black will be a power house battle.
