The 2024 4A State Championship bracket was one unbelievable and amazing tournament that kicked off on October 28th. With all the 4A division teams located in Southern Nevada, it was inevitable that teams seen throughout the season, would face each other in hunt for the title. From the beginning of the state bracket, several teams looked to make their way to the top while one team, with absolute determination sought to keep the crown! During the first & second week of play, we saw higher seeds fall and this put the teams that remained in play, on notice. The cylinders started firing and there was nothing left but explosive domination at every turn. BIG TIME prospects sounded off and lead their teams. Let's look at the display.

Some of the biggest names in Vegas came to play and executed domination from the start. With every intention to keep their hunt for another championship in play, the BIG TIME play of prospects [player_tooltip player_id='543147' first='Angelina' last='Guerrero'] (OH), RS [player_tooltip player_id='540514' first='Taylor' last='Anderson'], Setter [player_tooltip player_id='590035' first='Aracelli' last='Hernandez'], MB [player_tooltip player_id='543151' first='Jalynn' last='Edwards'], MB Alana Riddick, OH [player_tooltip player_id='520116' first='Maya' last='Dominguez'], & Libero Natalia Chomakos was on full display and no one was going to stop them. No matter the hurdle or opposition that stood in front of them, the Trailblazers were Championship minded. This group has worked extremely hard throughout the season as they imposed their will and retained the crown for the second consecutive season. Huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Durango Trailblazers.

Legacy Longhorns

The Legacy Longhorns came into the playoffs with great expectations to return to the state championship game to run it back with the returning champs just as they did the previous season. Lead by Coach Eve, this squad leaves everything on the floor and works very hard to pull out victories which displays a NO QUIT mind-set, and they're to be commended. It takes a tremendous amount of effort and teamwork to make it deep into the playoffs, but to do it in consecutive seasons displays the fact that BIG TIME prospects like Captain Setter [player_tooltip player_id='544934' first='Miy'Aja' last='Diggs'], Senior MB [player_tooltip player_id='581520' first='Destiny' last='Matthews'], Sophomore OH [player_tooltip player_id='573493' first='Arial' last='Fox'] & Senior MB [player_tooltip player_id='528278' first='Da'Maia' last='Bryant'], are extremely valuable and they were determined to lead this team with success no matter the challenge. Some of the most effective play this season and during the playoffs came from Senior OH Paradise Tupai, Junior OH [player_tooltip player_id='536095' first='Raelene' last='Miguel'] & one the top 2028 RS hitters, [player_tooltip player_id='542774' first='Ivanna' last='Aparicio'] who consistently serves aces in every game. We give props to the 4A State Champion Runner Up, Legacy Longhorns.

The Doral Red Rock Dragons were absolutely destined to bust the brackets and make their names known in the 4A playoff scene. Coming into playoffs as the lower seed, they immediately upended the #2 seed they faced, then went the distance with the #1 seed and over came in a five-set upset, making them ready for the semifinals as they would face a great challenge. It was apparent that the Lady Dragons of Red Rock would not give up without a fight as they were led by the demonstrative kills of BIG TIME prospect [player_tooltip player_id='543915' first='Bella' last='Risling'] (OH). This offense is also powered by great play by Senior Captain Tiffany Turnispeed (Libero), & Junior Setter [player_tooltip player_id='724008' first='Jayda' last='Peckham'] who had very efficient service receptions and assists that kept the challenge going. This team has definitely made an impact, and we congratulate the Dragons on a great playoff run.

The Rancho Rams came into the playoffs having earned their #1 seed after they worked through the season and have proven themselves to be worthy and ready for the playoff season. With a rich history of playoff appearances, the Rams came did not take any team lightly securing an early win in the quarterfinals of playoffs. Knowing they would face the returning champions; they were not phased in their effort to compete for each other and to represent the Rams in fine fashion. BIG TIME prospects Senior Libero Ava Robles came through with BIG TIME digs that gave the Rams a huge amount of confidence while Sophomore OH Marian Moreno was very effective with solid attacks from the outside & back-row. Junior setter [player_tooltip player_id='543917' first='Layla' last='Driscoll'] made sure her defense was present as she challenged hitters and produced a several assists for her hitters. Great job to the ladies of Rancho.
