Explosive Pin Hitters at Tour of Texas 15 Invitational Division

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most competitive and anticipated tournaments in the entire club volleyball season in the state of Texas, the Tour of Texas kicked off last weekend in Houston, with three days of action that reunited each of the top teams in the Lone Star State.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Held across seven facilities in the Houston area, the event reunited over 400 teams, spread across its ten divisions. A very technical and confident player, she played a major role for the team in serve-receive, delivering accurate passes and helping their offense remain in system. She also delivered offensively, going aggressively for every swing and doing an excellent job of taking a good look at the block and hitting past it. Her all-around game helped the team in more ways than one can count as she split her time between setter and outside hitter, two critical positions for the team's success. A very technical player, Bolton appeared very well on the backcourt, handling her passing duties efficiently and coming up with big-time digs. Because of her ability to get off the ground and her heavy right arm, she was very difficult to stop. Skinner also displayed a very high volleyball IQ, finding solutions to difficult plays and keeping her errors very low, despite her high usage rate. She displayed a great combination of power and technique, delivering well on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Crutcher was powerful and productive, getting off the floor well and making contact with the ball at a high point, but also making good choices to put it down both on the left and the right. She was pretty much in a class of her own offensively as her size, jumping ability, power and variety of shots were just too much for anyone trying to get in her way. Ogbogu has a huge scoring responsibility with the team and she fulfilled it very well, hitting from the left, the right and the middle back position. She contributed to the team's defensive system as well with her big and aggressive block.
