<p>Here is a look at the Top 10 Athletes in the rankings, which now include 175 total athletes, and with 45 athletes making their debut.</p>

<p>Hayden's Schmidtlein remains the No. 1-ranked athlete in the Prep Dig Kansas 2029 rankings. She is a natural multi-sport athlete. She is long, fast, and powerful. She collected 440 kills in 99 sets and helped the Wildcats reach the State Tournament as a freshman. She is also a talented basketball player ranked No. 5 overall by Prep Girls Hoops.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='518353' first='Mya' last='Lee'], </strong>6'1”, OH, St. James Academy, '28</p>

<p>Lee is one of two athletes moving into the Top Ten for the first time. Lee is ranked No. 2 overall after previously being ranked No. 16 overall. Lee recorded 226 kills in 78 sets played for St. James Academy. That's a solid number for a program like that.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='511942' first='Makiya' last='Maka'] </strong>, 5'9”, OH, Chaparral, ‘28</p>

<p>Chaparral's Maka is now ranked No. 3 overall. She had an impressive freshman campaign for the Roadrunners. Her freshman stat line was overflowing with glistening numbers. She recorded 305 kills, 312 digs, 50 aces, and 248 serve receptions.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='513601' first='Karis' last='KiWe Miller'],</strong> 6'0”, OH, Royal Valley, ‘28</p>

<p>Miller made the highest climb of anyone in the rankings. She was previously ranked No. 33 overall, but parlayed a solid freshman season into an increase of 29 total spots in the rankings. She unofficially led the Class of 2028 in kills with 452 over 102 sets played. Like Schmidtlein, she is another athlete who excels on the basketball floor. She is ranked No. 22 overall by Prep Girls Hoops as a power forward.</p>

<p>Beloit's talented freshman is ranked No. 5 overall. She is a six-rotation, multi-sport prospect. During her freshman season, she racked up 97 kills, 111 digs, and 112 serve receptions. She played a secondary role on Beloit's State Tournament squad last season. She will be expected to be more of a leader and play a larger role in the attack game as a sophomore.</p>

<p>Walter is the top-ranked setter in the Class of 2028 and is ranked No. 6 overall. She dished out 1,043 assists as a freshman. She is a three-sport athlete who also excels at basketball and softball. She is an energetic, spunky leader in every sport she plays. She collected 358 digs, and will challenge for multiple career records at Hayden.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='586613' first='Ellie' last='Bain'], </strong>5'9”, S/RS, Mill Valley, ‘28</p>

<p>Bain is ranked No. 7 overall and is the second setter in the Top Ten. Bain was a backup setter at Mill Valley, but she has a huge ceiling and has shown off her chops at the club level. She is athletic and quick. She is also an aggressive athlete with solid instincts on the court.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='518373' first='Elizabeth' last='Weinert'], </strong>6'0”, MB/OH, Olathe North, ‘28</p>

<p>Weinert is ranked No. 8 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She was one of the top blockers last season for Olathe North. She recorded 74 blocks and 154 kills in 88 sets played last season. She was used primarily as a front row athlete for the Eagles.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='575955' first='Raegan' last='McDonald'], </strong>6'2”, MB/RS, Valley Center, ‘28</p>

<p>Valley Center's tall middle is ranked No. 9 overall. She racked up 75 blocks for the Hornets during her freshman campaign. She has a big reach and a smooth approach. She also collected 57 kills in 75 sets played.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='503697' first='Emmie' last='Dean'], </strong>5'6”, OH/DS, Jefferson West, ‘28</p>

<p>Dean rounds out the Top Ten. The Jefferson West prospect can do it all on the volleyball court. During her freshman season, she recorded 194 kills, 395 digs, and 710 serve receptions. She is a six-rotation athlete. Her skills also translate well on the softball diamond. In 24 games this season, she has collected 41 hits, eight doubles, 18 stolen bases, and has scored 27 times for the Tigers.</p>
