Austin’s All-Showcase Team: Nebraska Stock Up Showcase

The entry list was packed with a medley of familiar faces and new names looking to get an extra edge before the high school season. We had a lot of dynamic right-side hitters in the gym last weekend, but Walter brought enough heat to immediately distinguish herself. The Millard West sophomore bursts off the floor with a strong, deliberate approach on the right side. This allows Walter to generate enough momentum to drive through the ball and produce indefensible power. Wiig has continued her ascent after making colossal gains toward the end of the club season. She brought a wealth of physicality to [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE'] 15 Titanium's right pin and was a shutdown blocker against Open-level attackers. Wiig's showcase performance revealed her progress as a terminator, even as she was forming connections with unfamiliar setters. This Banzai VBC middle blocker is building upon an outstanding 2025 club campaign while playing up a year with the 17s. Liekhus' breakout 15s campaign at [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] was the perfect precursor to another breakout performance at the Stock Up Showcase. This wasn't Liekhus' first appearance on the Prep Dig Circuit, so we got to see her exceptional development since her last visit. Newbauer helped run the show for this year's 16 Bravo squad and made multiple Gold appearances at major qualifiers and postseason events. She's a deceptive setter who isn't afraid to push the middles while drifting off the net. This is a tough skill to nail down under ideal circumstances, but Newbauer forged these middle connections with any athlete at our showcase. This Kearney High School junior has a full arsenal of shots on the left side and remains an attacking option in Zone 6. And, of course, we have to praise Wilkens' character and work ethic after she made the trip from central Nebraska to La Vista. Pohlman was one of many small-town stars who brought a big presence to Saturday's event. She was an incredibly communicative defender who helped her fellow passers excel during serve-receive drills. Of course, Pohlman was also dialed in when she was the one taking first contacts. Stengel is our "utility" selection for this feature after she exhibited outstanding range around the dial during team drills. This Nebraska Juniors standout brought the same eagerness and energy to her backcourt defense as she did to her attacking opportunities along the net.
