Anderson recently attended the Prep Dig Exposure Tour in Kansas City. She plays up during the club season for the Topeka Saints 16-1 squad. She is a six-rotation athlete who competed with discipline and enthusiasm. I did not see Washburn Rural last season, so I look forward to seeing her play club ball. Anderson is ranked No. 11 overall in the Kansas Class of 2029. The Saints open the tournament with an 8:00 a.m. Pool F match against MAVS 816 16-1. That will more than likely be the match I scout to begin my day.

Ballard is another athlete who attended the Prep Dig Exposure Tour, whose high school team I missed this season, and who I am looking forward to seeing play. She is ranked No. 16 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She recorded 145 kills last season for the Stags. [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']'s 16-2 team will compete in Pool H and open tournament play at 8:00 a.m. against [program_tooltip program_id='515493' first='Club' last='North'] 16-2.

Duson is ranked No. 51 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. She finished her sophomore season with 185 kills for the Mustangs. It's been quite some time since I have seen Duson compete. She will be suiting up for [program_tooltip program_id='430200' first='KC' last='Power']'s 16-1 squad. Duson and the Power will open the tournament in Pool D by playing Electric Volleyball at 8:00 a.m. If I get to scout a Power match, it will more than likely be its second match of the day against MAVS KC 16-2, scheduled for the 9:50 a.m. slot.

Gilmore will be playing for [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last='']'s 16-1 squad. They are a talented team who will be one of the favorites to win the event. She recently attended the Prep Dig Exposure Tour, and she increased her stock in the rankings with a solid performance at the event. The Class of 2028 rankings will be updated in January, and Gilmore will represent one of the top climbers up the ranking ladder. She has posted back-to-back seasons with 200-plus kills. She tallied 290 kills during her sophomore campaign. [program_tooltip program_id='428889' first='Dynasty' last=''] 16-1 will begin the tournament with an 8:00 a.m. Pool A match against [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] 16-3.

I am not sure I will get to see the KS Networks 16-2 squad play in the event, but they will be a team worth checking out. Ripley is a prospect I have scouted at college elite camps and a club practice, but I have never seen her play with her prep or club team. I may have to look for a date later in the season to scout one of her matches. She has recorded back-to-back seasons with 300-plus kills for her Wichita-based homeschool squad. Ripley is ranked No. 14 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. KS Networks 16-2 will play in Pool E and open up against 417 Juniors 16-1 at 8:50 a.m.

This is a name I was shocked to see on the Shockwave 16-1 roster. Wesier drives all the way from Oakley to play on the Wichita-area team. Her story is further evidence of the growth of club sports and the dedication and sacrifices made by club athletes and parents. Her sophomore season stat line included the following large numbers: 371 kills, 306 assists, 243 digs, and 65 aces. I have not seen Wesier compete, but she is set to debut in the 2028 rankings in January. Shockwave 16-1 will compete in Pool B and open its tournament against [program_tooltip program_id='515466' first='Pohaku' last=''] 16-1 at 8:50 a.m. As of right now, that is the match I plan to scout in that time slot; however, as club parents are well aware, that schedule can get off kilter fairly quickly.
