Nov. 6 - 9am)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>#1 Crescent Valley (26-1) vs. #9 West Albany (13-9)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Crescent Valley completed a perfect conference schedule this fall, going 12-0 in the Mid-Willamette Conference to take the conference title. Crescent Valley makes their fifth straight appearance in the 5A state quarterfinals this year. The Raiders won back-to-back state titles in 2022 and 2023, as well as taking home the runner up trophy in in 2024, after losing to South Albany 3-0 (25-4, 25-18, 25-19) in the title game. Last season they finished in third place in 2025, beating Crater 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 21-19) in the 3rd/5th match.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>West Albany finished third in the Mid-Willamette Conference with a 9-3 conference record and earned an at-large bid into the 5A playoffs. The Bulldogs were able to upset #8 Sandy 3-0 (25-9, 25-18, 25-23) on the road to earn their way into the state quarterfinals. West Albany has made multiple appearances in the 5A state tournament in the last few years, including three straight from 2021-2023, and last year in 2025, where they lost in the quarterfinals to Bend 3-1 (25-17, 17-25, 25-19, 25-14), but were able to finish sixth, after dropping the 4th/6th match to Summit 3-0 (25-15, 25-23, 25-24).</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Head-to-head:</strong> Crescent Valley defeated West Albany four times during the season, winning 3-0 in both their league play matches, as well as going 3-0 in a non-league tournament at They will make their fifth straight appearance in the 5A Elite Eight this year. The RedHawks are the defending back-to-back 5A State Champions both in 2024 &amp; 2025, including beating Bend in the title match last year in a 3-0 victory (25-21, 25-17, 25-17).
