How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Being a setter, I have the ability to read the court, opponents and my teammates. I want to establish the tempo of play with my passers and hitters. I understand my hitters' techniques and what type of sets will make them most effective.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Playing a club sport, I always want to make strong plays but inevitable, everyone has errors. My goal is to never make an error but if I do, I cannot concentrate on what I did wrong or put blame on a teammate. I have to keep going and look towards the next point/play. I provide encouragement to my team and look to win!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in school basketball and have received awards the past 4 years for this sport. In addition, I look to do service in my community on my own time, not associating with any one organization, I like to support various organizations and also do service that is not within a formal organization.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I started club volleyball only 2 years ago and only started setting in 2023-2024 season. With this change of position, I have found that I have the ability to lead my team and become a good sounding board for my teammates. With this position, that requires leadership, I strive to encourage not only myself, but those surrounding me whether it be my team, friends or any other organizations.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

With volleyball and trying to improve, there are always challenges. I have found that I have to come up with solutions to my challenges, i.e., not setting well in practice or game, being frustrated with a teammate. These challenges are part of playing a club sport and that is ok. I always face challenges at home with my sisters as they both play club sports. We are a competitive family!

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college that can help me strive academically and athletically. Right now, I'll be a freshman in HS so I want to concentrate on what is in front of me.
