Towner has turned into a sound six-rotation player for the Raiders. Towner took a number of sound swings in the win over NewCath. Towner uses her size well to form sound double blocks forcing NewCath to hit a number of balls high and wide. Towner said she’s been listening to her coaches on tips and improving in different ways when asked about turning into a six-rotation player. Towner had eight kills and two aces in the win over NewCath.

Ashley put in a great performance opening week for Ryle, this 2028 prospect has got some tools and can use them. We saw Ashley put up some nice blocks with a great presence at the net. She has a beautiful, correct fast swing, with perfect contact and can absolutely hammer a ball leaving the opposition scrambling. We love her play off the net she is fast to transition and reads the court well! An enthusiastic player we definitely can’t wait to see more of!

Towner earned the Gray Middle School Most Valuable Player honors in the seventh and eighth grade in 2022 and 2023, then moved next door hoping to do the same thing for Ryle. She stepped in as the result of injuries and made the 33rd District All-Tournament team last fall. Towner takes smooth swings from different parts of the net sending balls screaming away from defenders. Towner sends soft balls off blockers then pounds 31 routes to the lines. Towner is especially tough on the slides.

Towner will only improve as the result of varsity experience this year. Towner has solid swings and will only add to that arsenal during club season. Towner is in sync with her teammates at the net forming tough double blocks. She is outstanding at making things happen out of system.
