This summer has flown by so fast that it's hard to imagine that (1) we're almost to the start of school, and (2) it's once against time for our Stock Up Showcase. This year's version will feature athletes from the classes of '26, '27 and '28, and the attendees are from all over the state of Indiana and beyond. Here are ten athletes in various positions from various clubs that will be sure to show us what they've got this coming Sunday at Academy.

A solid six-rotation athlete if there ever was one, Jenna is a multi-shot, multitalented outside hitter who can terminate from anywhere, front or back row. Her ball control is above average, she locates her "controlled kills" well, and knows when to tool when she has to. Quiet and unassuming, she's not like a lot of the "look at me" types of players seen north of Indianapolis---she just puts her head down, works hard, and gets the job done. If you're looking for a no-nonsense, six-rotation player that does a little of everything well, look no further than Jenna.

Abbie is a "country strong" middle that terminates from both in front of and behind the setter with a pace on the ball not seen much in this age group. From one of the smallest schools listed today, she spent this past spring on one of the best 15s teams in the midwest, Munciana's 15 Blue. This class of middles is filled with lithe young women who can block well OR can attack well, but not both. Abbie is strong enough to terminate with pace and defend with shoulder strength that sees her rarely tooled on any in-system attack. I like this kid---strong, works hard, has a coach for a mom and understands this game at an upper level because of her training. She's relentless in her work ethic, and you could do a lot worse than she in this class if you're looking for a middle.

Athletic as anyone and with length for days, Ragan is a springy middle that's new to club ball, but not new to the game. She uses her extensive length to go over blocks and uses her jumping ability to hang out for a while before she swings. Speaking of her armswing, it's fast and whiplike, which is something you won't have to train on her. I'd like to see a little more broad jumping from her when she attacks in front of the setter, but for now, getting to the setter on time and in-system is something she's already figured out in her small sample size of club ball. Be mindful---she can hit high and deep to the corners or bounce a ball if you let her. With a little training, this kid will make heads turn in the next calendar year.

Big and physical, Elena is a strong lefty right side that has gained a ton of confidence and skill over the last calendar year. Only a rising sophomore, she's got the tools and the talent to lock down opposing outside hitters while also being a thorn in the side of defenses that don't know what to do will all of that height and left-handed ability. Her arm is quick and decisive, and can hit all angles needed for the next level. I'm looking forward to even MORE improvement---yes, I'm greedy---because this past year has been meteoric in her stock rising.

Karleigh is a repeat attendee to our showcase. Doing well among her fellow freshmen last summer, I'm looking forward to her advancement since then. She had a solid freshman campaign at 4A volleyball power HSE, and her season for TI's 15.2 was exceptional as well. Her length is her strength---she's listed as 6'2", but her wingspan makes her look (and play) much taller than she is. For now, she's an M2, as her front-of-the-setter attack is well-trained. Defensively, she penetrates well for her age group, and of course those arms certainly help.

Listed as a right side first, we can also include middle as a strong position for her, as she did both for Empowered's 15 Black this past spring. In the middle, she's an M2 through and through, excelling at sets away from the setter. Her jumping ability, combined with her length, allow her to almost "hang" in the air if the set isn't at a perfect tempo. I also like her ability to hit every angle on her attack, whether it's a zero-tempo in front of the setter or a right side swing. She has all of the angles covered, which is hard to say in this age group for a multi-positional talent such as she. I'm looking forward to seeing her among others her age and older, as her physical tools should match up well with the others attending.

Another repeat attendee to our showcases, Blaine is the highest-flying kid on today's list of attendees. She's a terminal, six-rotation outside that can put balls away in any tempo and at any angle. I like her all-around game; she's not just a banger, she can play a little defense as well as receive serve in a pinch if needed. Playing on a medal-winning team in 15 Open in Dallas, Blaine's ability to compete among the best of the best nationwide should supercede her size, as she was more than adept at competing against bigger competition.

Yet another solid defender from Roncalli? Why not. Nora was the libero for TI's 16.2 this past spring, and more than made up for her size with exceptional anticipation and athleticism. She can go on extensive serving runs as well, making her a complete package of point-scorer as well as opposing point preventer. Calm with her platform but active with her feet, Miss Dub can get to balls a lot of slower and upright defenders have difficulty getting. When Nora's on your squad, you don't have to worry about her position (left back) on defense, nor her ability to pass half the court in serve receive.

Already making the college camp rounds this summer, we're blessed to have Reagan make her mark with us at our showcase. Already logging a few digs per set as a three-rotation defender for 3A power Cathedral, Miss Futa was a key cog in Munciana's 15 Blue machine. Yes, she was mostly a three-rotation DS, but her impact in the short amount of time she was playing had immediate positive returns from service contact to when she subbed out. Scoring points in open-level volleyball is hard. But to do so from behind the baseline, cold, and turning around to make serve receive and floor defense look easy is extremely tough to do. I look forward to seeing how Reagan stacks up with the rest of the DS's on Sunday.

Another repeat attendee, Kyla spent this past season as the libero for PHP's inaugural 16-1 squad that set the club world on fire this spring. Named as a top libero at our freshman showcase from last summer, Miss Hurley is an active and hard-working defender who covers a lot of ground in serve receive, defense and coverage in every match and on every point. It's important to note that the drive time between Penn High School and Angola, Indiana (PHP's home) is about an hour and twenty minutes, meaning Kyla's dedication to her craft is just as important as her work ethic. She's an exceptional passer and should be one of the first off the recruiting board when mid June of next summer comes around.
