The Hornet middle is perhaps the best blocker among the athletes in this report. I missed seeing the Hornets play this fall, but I saw McDonald play during her freshman season and during the last club season. She has an older sister playing in college, and she should be one of the most sought-after middle blockers in the 2028 Kansas Class. Kubik recorded 301 kills in 80 sets played for the Class 6A State Champion Jaguars. Like McDonald, she comes from an athletic family with an older sister verbally committed to playing college volleyball. She was named to the KCA Class 6A All-State second team.
