About Raya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a poised, high-IQ setter who runs the offense with confidence, accuracy, and strong court awareness. I distribute the ball effectively and make smart decisions under pressure. I am a strong communicator and leader and I demonstrate an exceptional ability to elevate my teammates in both system and out-of-system play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring a strong mentality to the court, competing with confidence, composure, and resilience in every moment. My positive energy, leadership, and team-first attitude helps set the tone for my teammates, especially in high-pressure situations. The combination of my mental toughness and consistent energy contributes greatly to a winning culture.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

All A-Honor Roll President's Award for Academic Excellence Church Youth Group

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through athletics, I have developed strong leadership, teamwork, discipline, and resilience. As a setter, I have learned how to communicate effectively, stay composed under pressure, and put my teammates in the best position to succeed. I actively serve my community through youth development at Wee Wisdom Nursery School and Child Care Center, Inc., and I also volunteer through my church.
