Blair wound up being the sparkplug that led the Rockets to the state championship. The state tournament’s MVP unleashed hard shot after hard shot mixing in tips to keep defenses guessing. Blair admitted it is hard to gel in a long season, but she said everyone kept pushing and no one gave up, thus it worked out in the end.

Blair (pictured) rose up in a number of ways to lift the Rockets to the win. She pounded balls from the front row, angled different directions to dig up balls and unleashed a monster jump serve for big aces. Blair is very tough when she attacks running toward the net. Blair said the team has been working on all-out defense trying to prevent as many balls from hitting the floor as possible. She added the Rockets can rely on the defense even when balls do not fall on the other side.

Blair does what she’s asked and more for the Rockets. She tries to control the net making things tough on opposing hitters. She has good timing on her blocks and a solid swing. Blair also has a nice jump serve and that threw Notre Dame out of rhythm in that first game.

Among the top players in the state regardless of class and position, Blair is a versatile front row player who is quick reacting. Blair can excel from multiple positions. Athletic and agile, Blair, a middle blocker/right side hitter, closes blocks strong, moving well from side to side. Producing at a high level, Blair thrives in the front row.

Blair continues to show why she is one of the top middle hitters in the state during club season. Blair can slide to her right then smack it the other way and does well hitting balls to the lines on quick sets in the middle. Defenders may believe she is going up for a hard swing, but she throws them curve balls by tapping them to the side. Blair also forms nice blocks helping her teams control the net. Blair had 181 kills entering the weekend for KIVA 17 Red. Blair had 341 kills and led Assumption with 16 solo and 68 assisted blocks this past season helping the Rockets to the 23rd state championship in school history.
