Bianca Sarcone Bianca Sarcone 5'6" | DS/L Dowling Catholic | 2030 IA was one of the defensive players who brought consistent stability in the back row throughout the showcase. She was confident in difficult serve-receive situations and made controlled first contacts that kept her team in system. Sarcone also positioned herself well defensively before the attack started, giving her a chance to capitalize on balls that troubled her opponents. Sarcone will join Dowling Catholic as a freshman this fall after a promising season playing for Iowa Juniors on the club circuit. The Maroons are excellent at developing back-row prospects, and they have a lot to work with here with Sarcone after seeing her compete at the Prep Dig Iowa Stock Up Showcase during July in Clive. A taller defensive specialist, she covers a lot of ground with longer strides. She’s also agile and quick with sharp reflexes. A keen read on tracking the ball in serve-receive makes her proficient in that endeavor. Sarcone is a name to know moving forward for volleyball enthusiasts in the state.

The future is here. Sarcone joins a host of 2030s looking to make a big first impression in our coverage jurisdiction. The Dowling Catholic freshman-to-be has already compiled an impressive list of accolades from her 14s season with Club Iowa Juniors. Sarcone’s 14 Black crew clinched a GJNC berth through the Iowa Region and is fresh off a fruitful trip to Indianapolis. That should have her ready for whatever Sunday’s showcase can bring.

Look out for the Class of 2030. We have no sample size of high school matches to glean from among the 2030s, but Sarcone is already distinguishing herself among her peers. She brings maturity beyond her years and is a confident mover in any zone along the end line. Sarcone got an early jump on her scouting report last Sunday and will be in the discussion again when she convenes with Dowling Catholic in 2026.
