named MVP at PrepDig’s Exposure Tour in Gardena, CA.
Sofia played with a non-stop motor, hustling through every drill and refusing to slow down in long rallies. She attacked with a high arm swing that allowed her to beat the block and stay efficient in transition. Sofia brought toughness, quick reads, and leadership that lifted her court throughout the showcase.
Coach Williams praised her consistency, her presence, and the competitive standard she set for others. Sofia created opportunities for her teammates and helped drive the tempo that defined her team’s success.

Sofia was unable to attend the Phenom Talent Showcase in Kansas City due to academic commitments, as she navigated a demanding finals schedule that included AP European History, Honors Chemistry, Algebra 2, and an Honors English presentation.
I was still able to capture her thoughts on the invitation. “It is definitely a confidence booster, considering a limited number of athletes are selected for this program. I am very honored, and honestly it inspires me to work harder.”
She reflected on the role energy and leadership play in her game. “I am most proud of my ability to lift up my teammates and how I treat myself and my teammates on and off the court. I love to be loud and celebrate plays, no matter the score or who is on the other side. Energy is such a huge part of volleyball and success, and it is not emphasized enough.”
Looking ahead, Sofia emphasized connection and trust as foundational habits. “One habit that I believe is so helpful is bonding with every one of my teammates. Volleyball is so much fun when you are surrounded by people you love, and trusting each other is so important. Team chemistry comes from strong friendships, and that matters to the success of volleyball as a whole.”
Her advice to younger athletes reflected patience and perspective. “Trust your journey. It is not going to be the same as everyone else’s. You have to trust that everything will work out for you if you continue working hard. Comparison is the thief of joy.”

, an outside and opposite hitter, embraced the challenge of performing under pressure at the SCVC and Mizuno Long Beach College Camp. “I learned how to play under pressure and to stay focused with all the eyes on me,” she said. Competing in front of college coaches was both exciting and rewarding, and Sofia appreciated the variety of coaching styles and the valuable feedback she received. One of her proudest moments was stepping onto the court with unfamiliar teammates and finding instant chemistry. She enjoyed learning from others and creating a fun, encouraging atmosphere. “It was so much fun cheering each other on like we had played together forever,” she said.
The experience gave Sofia a clear understanding of the level of intensity and focus expected at the next level. Her goal for the upcoming season is to bring that same locked-in mindset to every rep in both practice and competition. She’s committed to staying focused, working hard, and pushing herself to improve every day. With a strong mix of energy, drive, and team-first mentality, Sofia is focused on making every moment count. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247

made a remarkable impression during her time on the court. Playing for Marymount, she dominated the gym with her impressive arm speed and disciplined serve receive. Her ability to excel in these areas highlighted her potential across both offensive and defensive play.
What stood out most was Sofia’s confidence, particularly given her young age. Her composure and assertiveness on the court are impressive and suggest a bright future ahead. As she continues to develop her skills both in school and with SCVC for club volleyball, Sofia will undoubtedly be an exciting player to watch. Michelle Bamford – PrepDig
