About Blake

Honor roll, Scholar, athlete, student body president.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I'm a comfortable and confident leader and appreciate that my team looks to me to lead and encourage them. Nothing beats the feeling of playing and winning together with my team/coaches. I feel very fortunate to play and travel for vb so giving back to others who don't have the same opportunities is important to me. I've learned this at Mizuno where giving back is a part of our club culture.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had significant physical injuries when I was 11 where I thought I may never play sports again. I know other people face a lot greater hardships, but at 11, this felt like I had lost my whole identity. I play and value sports differently now and try to show gratitude for every opportunity I have.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for strong athletic and academic experience where I can contribute to my team and the campus community while also learning and growing as a person and an athlete.
