About Elliana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a consistent and versatile front-row player who brings strong blocking, quick footwork, and reliable attacking to every rotation. I thrive in the middle but have experience on the pins, and I’m known for my physicality, quick transitions, and ability to connect with setters. Coaches say I’m dependable, coachable, and hard to score against. I work hard to make plays that help my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a mentally tough, coachable player who takes pride in being one of the most consistent and reliable athletes on the court. I thrive under pressure, especially in set point situations, and always stay focused on doing what my team needs, whether that’s making a block, putting down a smart hit, or serving with confidence. I bring a competitive mindset, a team-first attitude, and a calm presence

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’m involved in FCA and Teen Faith, and I volunteer with Heart Heroes, a nonprofit that supports kids with congenital heart disease. I was honored to receive the “Awesome Attitude” award as a freshman, an award given to only eight students in my class of 530+ for consistently showing a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by playing multiple sports and staying involved in my school and community. Volunteering with Heart Heroes and being part of faith-based groups has taught me how to serve others, while my coaches and teachers know they can count on me to lead by example and stay positive under pressure.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is being a 5’9” middle hitter in a sport where most players at my position are taller. I’ve had to work extra hard on timing, footwork, and court awareness to compete at a high level. I also play multiple sports and take honors classes, so learning how to manage my time and stay focused has been an important part of my growth as an athlete and student.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that’s within driving distance of Omaha where I can compete and be a part of a great team culture. I want a strong academic environment, a close-knit team culture, and coaches who value consistency, work ethic, and versatility. I’m especially interested in schools where I can contribute and grow as both a student-athlete and a leader.
