One can not say enough about the great decisions Courtney makes each time she takes the court running the offense. The Rockets have great hitters all over the court and Courtney tries to involve every one of them so teams can not key on one player. Courtney is used to playing at a fast-paced level for KIVA 16 White in the spring and is pushing her teammates to higher levels. Courtney tries to set away from double blocks and makes quality touches when the team is out of system so hitters can send across down balls.

Courtney continues to benefit from the routines of playing for KIVA. Courtney sets her feet well to make precise short and long sets. Courtney reacts quickly on balls to keep plays alive then quickly gets into setting position. Courtney has learned her hitters well tries to do what she can to put them in position to succeed. Courtney can make plays at all six spots. She makes precise first touches and stays with plays all the way until balls hit the ground.

Courtney moved up two levels for club season in the 16s and admitted it is a lot different and a faster pace. However, she seems to be handling it well. Courtney sets up hitters at the tops of their peaks at many different angles. Courtney makes good adjustments on balls and is very positive on the court. Courtney has a nice deep spinning serve. She said her main focus has been defense during the club season.

Courtney has drastically improved her precision. She runs tandems and involves a number of hitters finding different ways to draw blockers away from various hitters. Courtney executes a number of sets and has a deceptive back tap setter dump and setover.
