Eastvold earned all-state honors last season in helping guide Iowa City West back to the state tournament for the first time since 2016. The setter took a step forward on the club circuit earlier this year and has returned for her senior prep season with a game even more advanced. Eastvold looked locked in with her attackers when watching her compete on a couple of occasions. The senior moves well around the court, getting into position to deliver the ball precisely to the spots most beneficial to the attackers’ success. Her efficiency and consistency in doing so are the best in her career. Eastvold is strong defensively and can end points, too.

Eastvold has done a fantastic job setting her hitters up for success so far this season. She plays with composure and knows how to set the pace for her offense. I think she does a fantastic job of keeping her team focused, especially in high-intensity situations. I am so excited to see how she leads them through the postseason.

It’s been enjoyable watching Eastvold develop he game during the last few seasons. She played well last club campaign before guiding Iowa City West to its first state tournament berth since 2016 this past fall. My first chance to scout her this year came at the 2026 Nike President’s Day Classic, where Adrenaline 17 Marty was competing in the open division. Eastvold stood out as one of the most impactful players on that squad. She loacted the ball where her attackers could maximize their skills and took advantage with her own attack when spotting an opening. Eastvold is a taller setter that plays even bigger thanks to long arms. They help her defend effectively at the net and take swings from the opposite pin. She’s improved in serve-receive, too.
