Cornelius was part of the second place overall Space Needle Volleyball Foundation 18 Secret team, and the Glacier Peak standout played her usual excellent overall game. She sets to the pins and against the flow with confidence, and plays defense first from the setter spot.

The Space Needle standout showed the quality play and athleticism that we have noticed throughout her club and high school career. Smooth to the ball with easy movement around the court, Cornelius has the athleticism to score as a pin and that same athleticism shows when she plays the setter position. Her flow and movement impressed the court coaches both defensively and in handling tough chances after off-target first contact.

The Glacier Peak setter leads her Space Needle 17 team to Spokane, competing in the American Division. Cornelius is excellent defensively, handling hard swings and tips, and giving her team a chance to score in transition. She reads the game well, and that allows her to dig balls accurately and with a good tempo for the second ball setter. Cornelius locates her sets well and uses her quick feet to deliver a ball her attackers can manage, even when the initial pass is not precise.

Cornelius posted over 450 assists for Glacier Peak this season and scored from the right side as well. A good athlete who has excellent timing as a blocker, her defense is a strength. She can get on the floor and poke a ball up with either hand accurately, keeping rallies alive for her team.
