About Zoey
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a setter and opposite hitter who runs an efficient offense and keeps hitters in rhythm. Along with delivering precise sets, I contribute at the net with strong blocks and attacks and pride myself on defensive awareness. My versatility and consistency make me a reliable playmaker on both sides of the ball. I thrive in high‑pressure moments, execute with focus, and elevate my team’s performance.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m a setter and opposite hitter who thrives on bringing energy and leadership to the court. I’m known for my positive attitude, strong presence, and being extremely coachable. I take pride in setting up plays, blocking at the net, and supporting my teammates. I love competing under pressure, learning from my coaches, and doing whatever it takes to help my team succeed.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I started high school as the recipient of both the Aubrey Rose Foundation Scholarship and the Seton Spirit Scholarship. In my first quarter at Seton, I earned Second Honors and quickly began getting involved in school clubs. Beyond academics, I dedicate much of my time to giving back, including donating and volunteering with the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed leadership, teamwork, and resilience by supporting others, staying composed under pressure, and committing to consistency. Off the court, I’ve earned scholarships, achieved honors, joined school clubs, and volunteered with the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink campaign — experiences that strengthened my responsibility and drive to make a positive impact.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was coming back from a broken arm. The injury tested my resilience, but it also motivated me to work harder. I committed to strength and agility training and took private lessons to rebuild my skills and confidence. That experience taught me perseverance and showed me that setbacks can become opportunities to grow and compete at an even higher level.
What type of college are you looking for?
As a freshman, I know it’s still early in my high school journey, and I’m focused on building a strong academic foundation while preparing to play volleyball at the collegiate level. I’m excited to explore opportunities across all divisions to find the program that’s the best fit for my future.
