Stock Up Showcase: 2027 Athletes That Impressed

Our Stock Up Showcase was an invaluable tool to learn about some of the soon-to-be freshmen ready to make an impact.    Here are all the 2027 athletes that made an impression!     Chrismer spent last club season playing for OJVA 14-1, where she, as a middle, helped them win the 14U Regional championships. When she attended the showcase, she focused her efforts on the outside. With a heavy arm, she has the potential to be a major impact from this position. I will be eager to see where she is used at Forest Grove. And will be excited to see her continued improvement as she gets the hang of playing on the outside.    Conner drove from Seattle to attend the Stock Up showcase in Portland, so we had not seen her compete before. She showed her finesse as a left-handed right-side attacker. She put up a big block and shut down many powerhouse outside hitters during the scrimmages. Given her height and athleticism, I will be eager to watch her continue to improve through the years.    Foote, another athlete who drove from Seattle to attend the Stock Up showcase in Portland, was a pleasant surprise. She turned heads early on during position work, where she obliterated balls left and right on the quick. She was a major presence during the scrimmages, exhibiting confidence and fearlessness on the attack and the block. Already oozing athleticism and physicality, she is sure to be a highly sought-after recruit from the class of 2027.     Friesen is an athlete that plays well beyond her years and stood out among some very talented setters during position work. With strong natural hand strength, she already has the ability to set against the grain, forcing the ball to the left pin from the far right side of the court. She is a dynamic player that can make a huge impact in all six rotations on the court. She is definitely an athlete college coaches should have on their radars.    Hunt has to be one of the most explosive pin hitters from the class of 2027. She has an impressive vertical jump that she uses to her advantage, exploding into the ball and swinging aggressively. She showed her plethora of angles and shots during hitting lines and continued to use them to rack up points during the scrimmages. Although not trained as a middle, she was the first to jump in and help her team out by playing there when needed. Hunt is a disciplined and athletic six-rotation hitter that will be a major impact at the next level and should be on college coaches' lists.     Lebeck owns the backrow with a calm and humble confidence not often seen for someone her age. Incredibly smooth on serve receive, she was a major contributor to her team staying in the system during scrimmages. She was quick on her feet and showed some fierce defending of the back row. She exhibited incredibly solid technique across the board. Lebeck is an athlete to keep your eyes on, she is going to be a top DS/L from the class of 2027 out of Oregon.      Pedersen is a top 2027 recruit and her play at the showcase was a nod to this. With a high reach and good jumping abilities, she moves her attack location around. She exhibited confidence and took control of the net during the scrimmages. She worked hard in transition to be available to her setters. She moved around the court with ease, quick on her feet, she was readily available to swing at any ball set to her. I am eager to see Pedersen continue to improve and make a major impact at the next level.
