My DMV 250 Expo Team

My final thoughts on the DMV 250 Expo and then next week the rankings start trickling out. First my all-expo team, second a shout out to the girls who played for me at 11, 12, or 13 years of age who showed up and last, a summary of the players from the DMV 250 Expo I have not yet written about.

The DMV 250 Expo Team

Outsides - [player_tooltip player_id='235748' first='Ema' last='Djordjevic'] (Richard Montgomery/MVSA), [player_tooltip player_id='181304' first='Sarah' last='Jeremias'] (Holy Cross/Metro, [player_tooltip player_id='437457' first='Jasmin' last='Tucker'] (St. Paul's School for Girls/Metro)

Middle - [player_tooltip player_id='296486' first='Taylor' last='Harrington'] (Wakefield/[program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last='']), [player_tooltip player_id='397397' first='Jasmine' last='Williams'] (Colonial Forge/540 VB Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='472234' first='Tessa' last='Fergusson'] (Georgetown Day/MOCO)

Setter - [player_tooltip player_id='397536' first='Aubrey' last='Parker'] (Riverbend/540 VB Academy), [player_tooltip player_id='292644' first='Caycee' last='Chhum'] (Chantilly/Metro)

Libero - [player_tooltip player_id='352786' first='Cassandra' last='Bradley'] (MVSA/Richard Montgomery), [player_tooltip player_id='235749' first='Kareena' last='Rathnam'] (Winston Churchill/MVSA)

Right Side - [player_tooltip player_id='290176' first='Kieran' last='Rhoton'] (Independence/Metro), [player_tooltip player_id='437446' first='Alli' last='Robinson'] (Flint Hill/Metro)

Interesting eleven of the twelve were identified as top performers and five of the twelve played for high school state champions. Grace led Freedom to a Regional appearance in the state playoffs where they lost to Colgan. Her play got her selected to the second team Cedar Run District. She did not make our last 2025 rankings but that should change with the updated rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='235322' first='Avery' last='Prendergast'] (St. Johns/[program_tooltip program_id='476729' first='Paramount' last='']) - A very accomplished setter with some length at 5'9". One of the top servers for St. Johns (second in aces) who also plays defense well (third in digs). She is good at running a 5/1 offense because of her jump set frequency. Currently, she sits number 54 in our class of 2025 rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='491209' first='Mila' last='Antonov'] (Dominion/Virginia Athletics VBA) - Mila played on the junior varsity for Dominion. Earned a spot on the second team in the Potomac District.

[player_tooltip player_id='221032' first='Wynn' last='Eaton'] (St. Johns/St. James) - Wynn shares setting duties with [player_tooltip player_id='235322' first='Avery' last='Prendergast'] at St. Johns. She did a good job hustling on the court. She also looked pretty good at a [program_tooltip program_id='511606' first='Vienna' last='Elite'] tryout where she impressed with her hands as well as her ability to hit the right side.
