The class of 2025 rankings have continued to expand and be fine-tuned as players head into their final fall school season. 25 athletes were added to the rankings, and including the Watch List, the total number of players now in the rankings is over 200.

In this article, we will feature a number of the new additions and stock risers and recap the top ten players in the class. For a very detailed look at the how and why of rankings- head to this page: https://prepdig.com/how-we-rank/. The "How We Rank" page is in-depth and should answer any questions you have regarding rankings. I particularly like this quote regarding rankings- "Our site is here to celebrate athletes' achievements and skills." We realize the rankings are never going to be perfect — that's an impossible standard and also a good reason for rankings to be updated frequently, giving as many players as possible thoughtful consideration and coverage.

FIVE MORE NEW ADDITIONS!

[player_tooltip player_id='552735' first='Emme' last='Tucker']. Wenatchee will look to defend its 4A State title this season, and Tucker will be part of the Panthers' defensive back line. CRU rolled out a deep mix of liberos and ball-control DS/OH. Tucker made things as easy as possible on the setter and attackers, keeping digs out of the net and accurately delivering the set when she had to take the second contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='486986' first='Layne' last='Ford']. The athletic Ford can play as a six-rotation OH and bang the ball from the right side. She has a heavy arm and drives the ball through and off the block to score. Ford is set to have a big year for Liberty this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='553237' first='Kate' last='Fjeld']. Fjeld has the quick feet and reactions you love to see in the libero spot. She plays with terrific energy, and the West Seattle prospect had an excellent season for SVA, consistently coming up with difficult digs to keep her team in the point.

[player_tooltip player_id='544280' first='Rahni' last='Greene']. Greene is a 6'0" RS/MB from Ridgeline High School near Spokane, and her game was on the rise as the school season was ending. The athletic Greene continued to develop during the club season, showing off an explosive slide attack and tremendous block both as a right-side and MB. Her versatility to play multiple positions at a high level will be a massive factor for the Falcons as they chase a 3A State Tournament spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='494114' first='Abby' last='Wilson']. A multi-sport athlete who plays at NPJ and Bonney Lake, Wilson can score from either pin and works hard to put up a solid block. Her athleticism allows Wilson to attack from the pipe, and she is willing to find creative shots from the back row, especially during the school season.

Talking About the Top Ten

The 2025 class developed a theme as the top ten spots solidified, with each player committed to a Division 1 college program. The schools are West Coast Conference heavy, with a few notable exceptions. The top-ranked player, [player_tooltip player_id='207444' first='Lauren' last='Wiese'], is a super physical middle blocker headed to Baylor in the Big 12 Conference. Wiese is a force running the slide and a skilled overall player. The following two pin players stayed the same at #2 and #3 in the rankings, and both [player_tooltip player_id='249445' first='Kendall' last='Mairs'] and [player_tooltip player_id='249444' first='Sydney' last='Dreves'] will play in the Mountain West. The two OJVA standouts are winning players with dynamic arms and multiple-faceted games.

The West Coast Conference commits roll in throughout the rest of the top ten. MB [player_tooltip player_id='233895' first='Ava' last='Durgan'] from Mead High School is the fourth-ranked player overall and is headed to San Diego. Durgan has great size and a deadly zero-tempo offensive game. With Oregon State and Washington State set to play in the WCC for now- middle blockers [player_tooltip player_id='250508' first='Alana' last='Marrs'] and [player_tooltip player_id='184440' first='Ziah' last='Sneva'] continue the trend. Sneva is long and explosive and signed with the Cougars after a terrific season with NPJ Seattle. Marrs has been set on the Beavs since last year. Marrs looked very good with CRU Max and has added power to her swing to go along with her big block. [player_tooltip player_id='266134' first='Aspyn' last='Reed'] is verbaled to Grand Canyon, and the program will compete in the West Coast Conference soon. The athletic pin was outstanding running an ultra-quick tempo offense with Renovators during the club season. [player_tooltip player_id='268468' first='Holley' last='McFadden'] (Loyola Marymount) was a big mover into the top ten, and she was impressive for NPJ Seattle. McFadden was terminal offensively and a dominant blocker- when NPJ had her rolling and fed her the ball, they were tough to stop. [player_tooltip player_id='250418' first='Layne' last='Dent'] (St. Marys) was every team's target when they played PSVBA this season, and she played confidently and at a high level offensively and in the defensive and serve receive the game. Dent racked up kills all across the front row and from the pipe. Top ten libero [player_tooltip player_id='181633' first='Victoria' last='Gao'] played her brand of tough, gritty, and passionate ball all season for WVBA. She is committed to Columbia University in New York, part of the Ivy League.
