Scott Eagles

The Scott Eagles reclaimed their dominance in the 10th Region this season, securing the regional championship for the first time since 2017. To begin with, their impressive 31-12 overall record, including an undefeated 13-0 mark in regional play and 6-0 in their District, set the tone for a season of redemption.

Subsequently, Scott defeated Bishop Brossart 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-11) in the 10th Region Championship and advanced to the KHSAA State Tournament. In the opening round, they overcame 12th Region Champion West Jessamine in a thrilling five-set match. This win, in turn, reignited their confidence and carried them to a decisive 3-0 victory over Paintsville (15th Region Champion) in the quarterfinals.
However, Scott was then headed to the State Semi-Finals to face Mercy Academy, the same match-up they faced back in 2014, where they lost 0-3 (25-11, 25-13, 25-14) and ended their run for the state title. Similarly, 2024 ended much the same, with the Jaguars winning again 3-0 (25-10, 25-23, 25-16), taking out the Lady Eagles.

Despite this, the Eagles' season was remarkable, with key contributions from [player_tooltip player_id='212393' first='Milyn' last='Minor'], the 10th Region Player of the Year, and [player_tooltip player_id='477092' first='Brooklyn' last='Helm'], who formed a dominant offensive tandem.
