15 National and USA - Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin Performances

I don't get to every court, but I try and get to most of them. I have been able to cover the USAV GJNC live from Dallas, Texas. I make my list of teams I need to see and try to get to most of the courts throughout the tournament. Here are some names where I think they make an impact for their team. It could have been one play, a series of plays, an energy they play with. Here are some performances to know from Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin from the 15s National and USA Divisions.    I remember seeing [player_tooltip player_id='769241' first='Erin' last='Skidmore'] back at the JVA World Challenge in Louisville in April. I usually write this for outside hitters, but for Skidmore she has a lot of length and athleticism. She has quite the range when it comes to passing and serve receive while also taking pace off a hard swing. She is a true commander of the backrow, someone college programs could put a star next to in regard to the next level.      I like a middle blocker who isn't afraid to take a swing. That's [player_tooltip player_id='546215' first='Vivian' last='Lang'] of [program_tooltip program_id='432009' first='Sky' last='High'] 15 Elite. She brings athleticism and physicality, but when she is able to connect with her setters - she's going to score points.       I saw Victoria Brents at the Prep Dig Gauntlet earlier this month and it is exciting to see her again at the national tournament. She fits the brand of a [program_tooltip program_id='432009' first='Sky' last='High'] attacker where she is fast to the ball and knows how to take a rip, she is going to make something happen and create chaos for her opponents. She has quite the all around game where she can do it all.      We need to celebrate our defensive specialists! That's Amaya Melendez Cintron for [program_tooltip program_id='432009' first='Sky' last='High'] 15 Elite. She provides a spark on the court where she brings an aggressive serve, is steady and controlled in serve receive, and is available to attack. Montez has a soft platform that is well controlled allowing their setters to run an efficient offense. Her performance was key on day two as Rockets was able to sneak into the day three gold pool play matches.     [player_tooltip player_id='769585' first='Camryn' last='Boyd'] brings a heavy swing out of the middle for Fusion. She knows how to find the deep corners and can change up her shots with a tip as well. The other side of the net has to be aware of her scoring ability as well as her block. [player_tooltip player_id='522628' first='Hope' last='Garland'] for 1st Alliance 15 Silver brings a fundamental all around passing game to the table. She is calm in serve receive, is stopped on contact when her opponents are attacking, and puts up a great ball out of system for her pins to take a big rip. This team was executing at a high level on day two and with this momentum they could be a threat to see a gold bracket on Saturday.      [player_tooltip player_id='730449' first='Kylee' last='Suhr'] is the boss of the front row for [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets'] 15R.  The middle blocker plays like a middle linebacker, ultimately hunting for the ball on defense, and looking to terminate on offense.  She is the time of attacker who can swing quick and take out a defender or find a deep corner, her hangtime is impressive where she can also score with a throw.  This 15s team has put together a really impressive season where they advanced to Dallas with a final four finish at Show Me and have found themselves in the 15 USA gold pools.     <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2025/06/RG1A5616.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-787367" style="width:427px;height:auto"/><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">[player_tooltip player_id='522629' first='Kelly' last='Ryan']</figcaption></figure>    So smooth! With a lot of length and athleticism, [player_tooltip player_id='522629' first='Kelly' last='Ryan'] can do it all for 1st Alliance 15 Silver. She is the type of player who can't come off the court with not only her skill but her demeanor and poise. She sets in the back row and can attack in the front row. Dynamic would be an understatement: this 15 Silver team gets better each time i see them play.      Iowa Impact 151 Elite has a slim roster with eight players this week, but one to watch would be setter 33. As the first server for the team she sets the tone with her aggressiveness and fight, she gets them rolling. As a setter, she defends her position well and is determined to get her hands to the ball.      A lot of length and athleticism here for [player_tooltip player_id='522093' first='Alexis' last='Allen']. She moves really well laterally along the net whether she is blocking or looking to attack. She anticipates well as a blocker who can close on the pins. She brings a positive court presence where she connects with her teammate and keeps it all together. As a setter she gets her feet to the ball that allows the hands to work. I remember her from the Northern Lights Qualifier back in January with her range and athleticism and from there she has only progressed with her platform control and anticipation. She beats the ball to the spot. I really like how she can clean up a chaotic play on her side of the net. She not only saves points, she can create them.      There is a length and physicality to [player_tooltip player_id='775048' first='Ella' last='Subbert'] that is really dangerous for her opponents.  She has quite a wingspan as a middle blocker and knows how to use her hands really well when it comes to turning a block into the court.  When PowerPlex can be in system, she had some “Whoa” plays where she finds the deep corner and isn't afraid to take a big swing.  She is real dynamic where she can be utilized in multiple ways in the front row.       <figure class="wp-block-image size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2025/06/RG1A5642.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-787364" style="width:563px;height:auto"/><figcaption class="wp-element-caption">[player_tooltip player_id='732859' first='Elle' last='Isaacson']</figcaption></figure>    Six rotation outside hitter for PowerPlex packs a punch. She is a pure point scorer whether it's from the outside or backrow. PowerPlex has been an exiting team to watch all year out of the Des Moines metro where i would anticipate a lot of the athletes from 15 Jackson to have an impact on their high school team and beyond. As their 16s year approaches, keep an eye on these 2028s.      [player_tooltip player_id='545509' first='Sylvia' last='Flood'] has been that girl for [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] 16 Black. From her serve receive, middle back defense, to scoring from the front and backrow - she does it all. Against a winner advances to gold matchup with PowerPlex she was big time. She scores points but it's the little things that really set her apart. She is a 2029 playing up for Madtown 151 National where she is under control, poised, and plays with a high IQ. She understands how to to manipulate her platform to take pace off the ball and get the ball to her setter.     I was able to see 1st Alliance 15 Black in the division on Thursday. Middle blocker 15 was able to make her presence known with her swing and her block. She has length, athleticism, and plenty of physicality where her upside is impressive and      [player_tooltip player_id='734111' first='Claire' last='Baldwin'] is a Class of 2029 right side playing up for Sting 15 Black. Her performance attacking and blocking was big for this team in their three set win over PowerPlex to advance to gold on day three. I was impressed with the maturity she plays with - cool, calm, and collected. She is so good out of system. She knows when to go for big swing and when to swing to play another day. She is going to be run to watch these next few years.
