All A Regionals Talent Take with Front Line Factors

Sayre Spartan's Varsity beat out Lexington Christian in what was a very competitive match in the All A Regionals to take the championship this past Saturday at Sayre. Lots of players brought their game as the final match went to three sets with Sayre just edging out LCA in the third after LCA took the first set. We loved the play and were impressed by the coaching on both sides, with solid players in both programs. Taking a closer look here is our impression of front line factors!    Ellie brings a lot to the court, we loved her play! She performed extremely well when it counted and came through for her team! We couldn't have been more impressed with this players complete set of skills on full display. Ellie has a great vertical with an impressive attack and is not afraid to swing! She releases a powerful punch from a left hand swing from either pin and produced numerous kills placing them anywhere on the court with solid hits down the line. She digs to get the ball into play, can get one up from the net and makes plays happen. She can get up for the block and can put the ball anywhere with her serves. We love her enthusiasm on and off the court and supports her teammates well! Not enough words for this player!     Hailey is an absolute workhorse in the game! She plays a full rotation and brings 110% to the court. She has super powerful fast swing that usually ends in a kill and is called upon often in all sets! She produced ten plus kills multiple times on our observation on different matches! She reads the court extremely well and is fast to position herself to make the play, but she doesn't need a perfect set, she will swing and get it done! She will stealthily tip down the line to fool the blockers and produces good fakes on the line to draw the blockers in. She wholeheartedly digs in the back row with an excellent platform and superb ball control on the hardest of hits to get that ball to the second contact. She serves up aces and is super enthusiastic on the court! She is a gamechanger!     Amanda is an imposing player at the net and produces readily! The opposition has their work cut out for them facing Amanda at the net, she has multiple tools including a big block, and a strong swing that makes her a tough opponent. She has excellent reach with great technique to deny hits and she produces plentiful strong hits that get through the block to make her a frontline weapon! She can swing tight to the net, destroys an overpass and has great ball control with a solid approach that packs power! She covers well on the frontline following the play and steps into action readily and skillfully with a tip or down ball! Her enthusiasm on and off the court is high, she brings her game to win! Her teammates show her plenty of affection for her all out efforts on the court, lots to love about her game!     Rachel's play was fire on the varsity team that we could not overlook! She is an athlete with lots of skill and talent to match! She sets accurately, hits explosively and gave an all out effort everywhere on the court! Rachel puts up a good block, has a fire backset, digs and brings an excellent hit from either pin! She is fast in play, showing good judgement and accuracy setting the front line in tight or off the net. Her approach is clean with good footwork, big arm swing and a nice follow through with great contact heard across the court! She brings great energy to the court with lots of enthusiasm. We love her abundance and diversity of talent she brings to the game! We can't wait to see more of her, the future is bright for her!     Impressive play from Brooke showing multi levels of talent with honed skills! She is smart, driven and gives all on the court, and makes it happen! With touches every play she covers ground, she tips with good placement, gets up for the block, can execute a tight dig to the net to keep the ball in play and can unleash a powerful swing with good contact from either pin for a kill, yelling out to get the chance! Brooke shows exceptional court IQ and knows where to put herself to make great plays and productive swings, she will play out of the comfort zone to get it done! She has a mean serve and can get a ball to the backcourt from the back row forcing the play out of sequence. She goes flat out on the court with lots of energy and coolness playing with confidence and lays it down, making her presence felt on the court. She brings it, and we loved it!     Margot has the size and drive and she puts up big blocks! A skilled player who makes the opposition work to get past her. She puts up solid play at the net and is consistently proving her worth on the front line. She has nice technique and timing with great reach stemming from her good size and powerful arms. She has fast reflexes off the net to keep the ball in play with nice ups and can swing on the overpass to get it done! She moves nicely up and down the net and covers the front line well with big steps and a nice vertical. Margot is a presence at the net that denies the opposition, she had great energy, very enthusiastic, supports her teammates, reads the play well and is a blocker to take notice of!
