<p><strong>Waunakee Rises, Wins KML Tournament</strong></p>

<p>Kettle Moraine Lutheran always has one of the premier tournaments in Wisconsin come early September. They hosted some of the top talent in the state featuring a handful of ranked teams. Waunakee came out as champions where they didn't drop a set the entire day. Some of their wins were against the likes of Xavier (D2 #1) and Catholic Memorial (D2 #5). [player_tooltip player_id='345274' first='Lauren' last='Sprague'] and [player_tooltip player_id='388460' first='Kaitlin' last='Van Wie'] are pacing the Warriors where they are averaging nearly 6.5 kills per set. They will be back in action this upcoming weekend where they head to the Charger Challenge against another group of highly ranked teams across multiple divisions. They will be in a pool with Menomonee Falls, Catholic Memorial, and Appleton North. They are sitting in the #4 spot of the WVCA Week 3 D1 Poll. </p>

<p><strong>Oconomowoc Ready For Big Tests Ahead</strong></p>

<p>Oconomowoc is 14-0, 2-0 so far this season where they are heading into a week of big matchups. They will take on Oak Creek, a dangerous D1 squad receiving votes tonight in a conference matchup. Next up will be the Charger Challenge at the [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] Center where they will go head to head with some of the state's best. They have a day one pool with Pewaukee, Neenah, and West Bend West. Maryland commit [player_tooltip player_id='249678' first='Marlee' last='Sivak'] eclipsed the 1,000 career kill mark and is averaging over 4.5 kills per set. </p>

<p><strong>Holmen Stays Undefeated</strong></p>

<p>Holmen is off to an 18-0 start where they blazed through the Kettle Moraine Invite without dropping a set with wins over Sun Prairie West, Sturgeon Bay, Eau Claire Memorial, Port Washington, Cedarburg, and DeForest. [player_tooltip player_id='437479' first='Charley' last='Casey'] has been leading the Vikings with over three kills per set, but they also have a cupboard full of attackers who are making a big impact in [player_tooltip player_id='522861' first='Hadley' last='Teff'], [player_tooltip player_id='522866' first='Moira' last='Linse'], and [player_tooltip player_id='515473' first='Brenna' last='Schmidt']. </p>

<p><strong>Manitowoc Hosts Sneaky Good Quad</strong></p>

<p>Manitowoc Lincoln played host to some talented teams where they had a quad that was Arrowhead, DSHA, and Fond du Lac which also included their JV teams. DHSA came out 3-0, Fond du Lac 2-1, Arrowhead 1-2, and Manitowoc Lincoln 0-3. Despite an 0-3 record, Manty did take a set off DSHA and Arrowhead. Fond du Lac is going to be a team that will sneak up on others. They only have nine matches under their belt, but they have wins over Arrowhead, Kimberly, and Oshkosh West. </p>

<p><strong>Sauk Prairie Sitting at 3rd in D2</strong></p>

<p>Sauk Prairie has always been in the conversation among top teams in the Madison area and has been a state contender. They are back in D2 after spending 2024 in D1. They are off to a 13-1 start with their only loss coming to Oshkosh West. They took home the title in their home tournament this past weekend and will head to the Charger Challenge at [program_tooltip program_id='428672' first='Milwaukee' last='Sting'] this upcoming weekend. South Dakota State commit [player_tooltip player_id='388467' first='Mallory' last='Hartwig'] is putting up some video game like stats where she is averaging nearly five kills per set on the outside. She is a high flyer who can score in so many ways. Illinois State commit [player_tooltip player_id='504459' first='Alaina' last='Kraemer'] is doing it from the right side and the setter position where she is heavily involved in the offensive production. </p>

<p><strong>New #1 in D3</strong></p>

<p>Dominican had a tough weekend with losses to Brookfield Central and Wauwatosa West after sitting atop of the D3 rankings. Living World Lutheran has taken the top spot after an 16-2 start. [player_tooltip player_id='388457' first='Eden' last='Roethel'] continues to dominate where she is averaging over five kills per set for the Timberwolves. Stanley-Boyd sits at number two where their only two losses have come to the hands of D1 River Falls and Chippewa Falls. There is a heavy dose of the Lew girls with junior [player_tooltip player_id='807989' first='Kelly' last='Lew'] and freshman Amanda Lew averaging nearly 6.5 kills per set. Barron, the defending state champions in D3 are back in the top three. They have a big matchup against a ranked River Falls team tonight! [player_tooltip player_id='565640' first='Alexis' last='Halverson'] is pacing the way with 4.5 kills per set, but keep tabs on freshman Addie Kroeze who leads the team in blocks and hitting efficiency. </p>

<p><strong>Sheboygan Christian Takes County Title, Undefeated Record Into Week 3</strong></p>

<p>Sheboygan County hosted their annual tournament with all of the high schools coming together to take home a title. Sheboygan Christian came out on top this year and has a 16-0 record heading into week four. This is an experienced group of athletes who are bringing state tournament experience from 2024, however this year they have bumped up from D5 to D4. This offense is gnarly, hitting over .200 as a team and senior setter [player_tooltip player_id='249670' first='Lydia' last='Neeb'] averaging over eight assists per set. </p>

<p><strong>Heritage Christian Making A Major Statement, Intriguing Matchups Ahead</strong></p>

<p>Heritage Christian continues to play against tough D1 opponents this season, most recently taking a loss to a ranked Brookfield East team and defeated Mukwonago in a five set match back on September 4. They have some interesting matchups this week where they will take on Luther Prep (ranked #4 in D3 tonight) and Oostburg on Thursday. [player_tooltip player_id='284066' first='Ainsley' last='Ellis'] continues to run quite the offense where she plays with a mature IQ, knowing when to take it herself and finding favorable matchups for her attackers. </p>

<p>Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran is off to a 2-0 start, sitting atop of the D5 rankings while number two ranked Rib Lake already has 22 matches under their belt at 18-4. Rib Lake has two sophomores that are causing havoc on the court with [player_tooltip player_id='762613' first='Megan' last='Komarek'] and [player_tooltip player_id='843631' first='Madelyn' last='Anderson'] who have combined for nearly six kills per set this season. </p>
