Let's keep the club cohesion going.

At the start of the week, we rolled out a feature that drummed up some spring club memories while also examining star players in high school title contention this fall. It was an article all about elite club duos joining forces again at the upper echelon of the NSAA circuit. We had plenty of combos to choose from, so we might as well venture into Part 2.

Deeply rooted chemistry may be the key to a tournament breakthrough this November.

[player_tooltip player_id='807803' first='Lyric' last='Judson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='591636' first='Maddox' last='Graves'] - Papillion-La Vista South, Premier Nebraska

Judson

The defending Class A champs are back in the mix again this fall, especially with these two forming a collective wall at the net.

Premier Nebraska 16 Gold's 2025 season was something to behold. The team brought up some new players from other squads, but Judson and Graves were the important constants to lean on. Judson maintained her showstopping style at the middle blocker spot, and Graves had a breakout season on the right. The result was an Open berth through the Show Me Qualifier and a competitive run through the GJNC field.

Good luck getting past this Papio South duo. Judson and Graves lead the Titan blocking category by a huge margin, but that's not their only contribution to this fall's effort. A 0.429 hitting percentage puts Judson among the state's most efficient terminators. Graves has also stepped up her offensive input and has exceeded triple-digit kills during her junior campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id='575235' first='Logann' last='Dostal'] and [player_tooltip player_id='567542' first='Ava' last='Nowling'] - Gretna, Premier Nebraska

We had to include Gretna's super sophomores, right?

While we're discussing GJNC results from the Premier Nebraska camp, we have to bring up the summer triumph for Premier 15 Gold. Dostal and Nowling were part of the championship run in GJNC's 15 USA division, laying the foundation for further gains in Year 2 with the Dragons.

Those gains can be seen all over the stat sheet. Dostal leads the Gretna onslaught with 3.8 kills per set while remaining an ever-present attacking threat in the back row. Speaking of the back row, Nowling's presence in a DS role has yielded 2.3 digs per set and a litany of perfect passes in the serve-receive pattern. She's an instant upgrade off the bench.

Gretna's surge may seem ahead of schedule, but these sophomores have already grown accustomed to the spotlight. Back-to-back tournament appearances are in play.

[player_tooltip player_id='458146' first='Alex' last='Kroll'] and [player_tooltip player_id='521266' first='Lauren' last='McKernan'] - Lincoln North Star, [program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE']

This is another case of club chemistry that we've harped on throughout the fall season.

[program_tooltip program_id='428717' first='Nebraska' last='ONE']'s retooled 16 Black lineup left a lasting mark on the Great Plains Region. The team claimed its Nationals bid through the GPR Bid Tournament and nearly upgraded that bid at the Show Me Qualifier. Kroll and McKernan joined the crew to guide a new cast of stars, and the rest is history.

Of course, this duo already started to break out after securing a tournament berth with Lincoln North Star last fall. The tandem is a year wiser in 2025, with Kroll averaging about ten assists per set for the Navigators. McKernan has capitalized on the rock-solid connection with her setter, leading North Star with a 0.322 hitting clip.

It's a new era for a program seeking its first-ever volleyball tournament victory.

Stater

[player_tooltip player_id='575155' first='Addie' last='Stater'] and [player_tooltip player_id='521300' first='Grace' last='Samuelson'] - Omaha Concordia, Club Legacy

We mentioned the Columbus Lakeview "super team" manifesting into Lightning 17-1. Perhaps Omaha Concordia is having the same cooperative effect with Club Legacy?

This was a special year for Club Legacy 16 Alpha and its vast collection of stars from Concordia and beyond. 16 Alpha swept through Omaha's Presidents' Day Classic and had a deep run through AAU Nationals. We expected a strong outing with the Mustangs this fall, but players like Stater and Samuelson might be exceeding expectations.

Stater, who has seen past reps at middle blocker, has flourished as an outside attacker with 3.2 kills per set for Concordia. Don't worry about voids in the middle, as Samuelson has that spot taken care of with a team-leading 71 blocks.

Class C1's postseason push will be fierce, but Concordia is ready to take the next step.

[player_tooltip player_id='349472' first='Emeline' last='Myers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='807957' first='Jamie' last='Murcek'] - Millard South, [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs']

How about the [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs'] veterans?

The Class of 2026 has been paramount to [program_tooltip program_id='428728' first='River' last='City Jrs']'s recent success. Its top group of 2026s--along with a handful of 2027s--won an AAU crown as 16s and were a set away from repeating that feat this summer. Myers and Murcek know how to compete on prominent stages, and they're doing it one more time for Millard South.

The Patriots have rocketed to a 27-6 mark behind their stacked cast of veteran leaders. Myers has averaged six digs per set from the libero spot, which is somehow par for the course in her decorated career. Murcek helps the backcourt effort with 3.4 digs per set, but she's also a six-rotation force who gets it done along the net. She's nearing 200 kills in her swan song season, giving Millard South unprecedented balance and firepower.

This is the setup for a new peak in Millard South's long history in the Class A arena.

Let's keep the club cohesion going.
