2025 Awards: Top Recruits Covered In Each Class

What better way to celebrate than to pass out some awards honoring those we've covered the most this past calendar year. Here are the top three mentions per graduating class (making a total of 12 athletes), some of which will be playing at the Early Bird Shootout this weekend.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2026, 3rd most: [player_tooltip player_id='261036' first='Madison' last='Miles']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The Illinois-bound outside from HSE was everything and more for the 4A Royal powerhouse. Hitting some high-level, Division-1-ready attacks regularly at the high school level was only part of her prowess on the volleyball court this past calendar year, as she's the complete package going to a solid Big Ten squad.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2026, 2nd most: [player_tooltip player_id='209451' first='Maddie' last='Carnes']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">On her way to Bellarmine this coming fall, Maddie did a little of everything to keep Springs Valley in the top ten of 1A each and every year she was a part of the program. A full-time setter through and through, Maddie's high volleyball IQ will serve her well in the A-Sun conference.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2026, most mentions: [player_tooltip player_id='227184' first='Bailey' last='Sinish']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The two-time 4A state champ and current Indiana Miss Volleyball has been the foundation for the Chargers' resurgence in the past few years. Bailey is on her way to IU-Indianapolis, where the Horizon League is about to receive what we've all known here about Miss Sinish; relentless work ethic, exceptionally trained skills and a knack for winning.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2027, 3rd most: [player_tooltip player_id='443848' first='Carsyn' last='Comer']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Carsyn is THE top recruit in Indiana for the class of ‘27, and is committed to a Louisville squad that has spent the better part of the last decade in the top ten in Division 1. Driven, strong and talented, Carsyn's relentless demeanor is only upstaged by her high character.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2027, 2nd most: [player_tooltip player_id='482721' first='Paige' last='Rudolph']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">High school teammates with Carsyn, Paige is still looking for a home for the fall of ‘27. Big and physical, Miss Rudolph is a terminator on the attack from just about everywhere, and her size and athleticism allow her to make some blocks look obsolete.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2027, most mentions: [player_tooltip player_id='494521' first='Shania' last='Rhamy']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Shania is a six-rotation beast of an attacker that is the personification of “relentlessness”. An absolute terror to go against and a stalwart and loyal teammate when playing with her, Miss Rhamy will make the folks at Kentucky very happy when the fall of ‘27 comes around.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2028, 3rd most: [player_tooltip player_id='586949' first='Elle' last='Boser']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The most recent Avoli Committed Athlete Award winner for our Exposure Tour last month, Elle is a long and lean six-rotation outside that can change a match quickly. Able to terminate from anywhere, Miss Boser looks the part of a D1 player, and is getting more and more athletic as the years roll on.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2028, 2nd most: [player_tooltip player_id='572622' first='Elena' last='Cook']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">The left-handed hammer from NewPal has grown into a big and solid recruiting choice for the class of ‘28. Her upper body strength has developed the most over the past year, as evidenced by her quick arm swing on the attack and strong shoulders when setting a block. I like this kid a lot, as her work ethic and determination earned her the mentions she received this past calendar year.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2028, most mentions: [player_tooltip player_id='722892' first='Abbie' last='Powell']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Abbie is not only one of the most athletic middles in this (or any) class, but led the state of Indiana in hitting percentage for the fall of ‘25. Springy, fast and smart, Miss Powell has turned more than a few heads with her smooth athleticism and point-scoring ability. No, she's not 6'3”+ like a lot of big-time middles these days. However, she more than makes up for it with vision, a high volleyball acuity and brute strength.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2029, 3rd most: [player_tooltip player_id='745336' first='Gabby' last='Bassett']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Let the record be known that I do NOT talk about defensive specialists much at all, mostly because there are so many of them here in Indiana. That being said, to know that the ONLY DS/Libero in today's article is Gabby should tell you something about her level of play. Already playing up a year on Circle's 16-1, Miss Bassett is a cool, calm and consistent D1 libero in the making that will be the future of Westfield's success for the next few years.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2029, 2nd most: [player_tooltip player_id='529086' first='Evelyn' last='Shirk']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">I am so unbelievable jealous of the folks in the Chicagoland area for getting to see Evelyn play on a regular basis. Miss Shirk is THE most athletic kid in the class of ‘29, let alone the top recruit for us here at PrepDig Indiana. Already in the pipeline for the national developmental program, Evelyn is a D1 setter through and through. Her ability to use her athleticism and speed to make each and every set perfect for her attackers sets her apart from every other setter in this class, and is the model for future setters coming out of the Midwest.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Class of 2029, most mentions: [player_tooltip player_id='847527' first='Kendall' last='Rowray']</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Admittedly, I wrote off Yorktown after their major graduations a year ago. After watching a full season's worth of 4A 1st team All-State Kendall at work, it's clear why she received the most mentions by us of any single athlete in any class in Indiana. Terminal, relentless and smart, Miss Rowray is a spitfire of an outside that can carry a program at will, just like she carried the Tigers to a state semifinal appearance in her freshman campaign.</p>
