is simply different. Even as one of the top setters in Minnesota and a Clemson commit, her ability to step over to the right pin and still completely control a match says everything about her volleyball IQ and athleticism. Kaelyn processes the game at an elite level. She understands defensive positioning before she even leaves the floor, manipulates blockers with her vision, and attacks with confidence in pressure moments. As a right-side attacker, she creates matchup nightmares because she can score in-system, out-of-system, and transition seamlessly between roles. Her arm speed, body control, and ability to attack from difficult angles makes her incredibly hard to defend. But beyond the skill, it is the competitive fire that stands out most. Kaelyn carries herself like a player who expects to take over matches, and RTDP gives her another opportunity to remind everyone exactly why she is the top-ranked player in Minnesota.

Another stellar setter from Minnesota is Kaelyn Bjorklund who will suit up for Northern Lights 17-1. What a dynamic player who can set and swing when needed. She was an early summer commit to Clemson. She most recently won Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Minnesota. She led her team to a Minnesota large class state title. This is the home tournament for Northern Lights where this group of 17s were the national division champions in 2025 at USAV Nationals.

Bjorklund came into high school as a major prospect but spent her freshman season adjusting a little to the speed of varsity play and being utilized as rotational piece. Last year, her confidence surged, and she now aggressively utilizes her height (6’1″) and athleticism at the net while delivering a consistent location and heavy swings. Her ability to bounce back and assume a major setting responsibility for a state-ranked team makes her one of the most exciting turnarounds.

is the definition of a floor general. With exceptional court vision, precise hands, and a fast-paced tempo, Kaelyn runs the offense with maturity well beyond her years. She consistently delivers clean, hittable balls from both serve-receive and transition, and is fearless in using the setter dump to keep blockers guessing.
What separates Kaelyn is her decision-making speed and ability to read blockers before the ball even crosses the net. Her leadership, vocal presence, and ability to energize her team make her a high-impact player every rotation. As June 15 approaches, college coaches should have this elite playmaker at the top of their call list.~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

kicks off our list for the class of 2027, and it’s clear why she’s earned this spot. College coaches, if Kaelyn isn’t already on your radar, it’s time to take notice! She’s our number one player and setter for the state of Minnesota, and she has proven her dominance time and time again. Kaelyn led her team all the way to the championship, a true testament to her leadership and skill. As a setter, she has the rare ability to run a court with precision, making quick decisions and setting up her teammates for success. But she doesn’t stop there—when it’s time to serve, Kaelyn will make things happen. Whether it’s running the offense or delivering under pressure, Kaelyn is the player you want on your team for the class of 2027. She’s already one of the top rising stars in the game!~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Bjorklund can start a match off right by threading the line with her serve. She will be a setter heading to the next level after creating an absolute powerhouse at Lakeville South . She’s long, athletic, highly competitive, and know how to give her hitters a ball to terminate. Bjorklund is part of a young group from Lakeville South who will be a force to reckon with over the next couple years.

Bjorklund is doing it and doing it so well. She’s reading the attack so well on defense that she makes everything look like a freeball. Bjorklund was moving the ball around quickly and getting all of her attackers involved. Her blocking was outstanding and she was a key attack for Lakeville as well. Cross court, down the line, off the block, none of it was off limits for her.

Bjorklund is a smooth operator and she just seems to know the right play to call at just the right time. She is athletic, with quick footwork, great instinct, and well trained to put her attackers in the best position to terminate and score. Bjorklund can light a fire for her squad as an attacker if needed as well and her progress has been fun to watch so far but she will only keep getting better.

Bjorklund is a smart distributor but really packs a punch when she takes a swing. She made some really athletic sets throughout the showcase and demonstrated that she is a force at the net when she’s blocking. Bjorklund is a consistent setter and meshes well with different attackers.

Kaelyn is the #1 player in her class in Minnesota, and she played like it throughout the tournament. She plays with the maturity and game-smarts of a player much older than she is. Kaelyn rarely made an error and had some jaw-dropping plays. She had a great connection with her middles which is very hard to achieve. Kaelyn is also a powerhouse hitter who manufactured points whenever she wasn’t setting.
