2026 Rankings Update: Powerful Pins!

Pins are front and center in the 2026 class; we cover several outsides and right sides in this positional article. The updated rankings have 12 OH/RS in the top 25, and the high rankings are well-deserved for those players. This article looks at athletes across the rankings as we continue to cover the 2026 rankings.    The Skyview junior checks in as the #38 overall player in the updated 2026 rankings. The 6'0" Shawgo has a heavy arm and can hammer down kills from either pin; her footwork on the pins is steady and consistent. Shawgo stays behind the ball, allowing her setters a large window to locate the ball.     Walling helped lead Cascade Christian to an outstanding season, finishing second to Chelan in the 1A State Championship. The junior has an excellent all-around game; her background on the beach has given her soft hands as a setter, good defensive instincts, quickness, and an arm swing that she uses to score from the pin and the pipe. Walling is now the #74 overall-ranked player in the 2026 class.     Shaffer earned 4A All-League 1st team in the tough Wesco for Arlington this fall. The 5'11" junior was at her best in many of the Eagles' big matches, playing tough in all six rotations and scoring from the pin in various ways. Shaffer has excellent ball control; she passes efficiently in serve-receive and can use tips and shots to score from the spin on a challenging set.     O'Connell went on a tear starting in mid-October and didn't stop efficiently racking up kills until Ridgeline brought home the 3A State Championship. O'Connell was on fire in the post-season; her consistent excellent play on the right side as an attacker and blocker was crucial in the Falcon's post-season run.     DeHoog is an impressive multi-sport athlete who captained the Nooksack Valley squad this fall. She has outstanding size for outside and can deliver as a passer; she plays with tremendous balance and coordination on the court. DeHoog plays with a calm demeanor, isn't afraid to swing in a big moment, and is always positive and encouraging with her teammates.     May-Kelly is an athletic attacker with a smooth game and a terrific attitude on the floor. She was a crucial part of the Hazen offense this season, and the 5'10" junior will be with Sudden Impact again for the club season. May-Kelly has an aggressive approach jump; she is an explosive scorer who can pinball swings off, over, and around the block.      Hugus has a powerful arm swing and can play outside or on the right. She stepped into more of a role as a back row player at times for Tumwater, handling herself well in serve-receive and contributing several matches with double-digit digs. Hugus was excellent for Oly Reign during club last season, which carried into her fall campaign with Tumwater.     The lefty from Spokane Valley brought it all season; Aaron played with more physicality and power in her third year as a varsity player. She is a verbal commit to Weber State and looks ready to have an outstanding club season. Aaron continues to develop her game as a server, and defensively, she will make plays in the back row. She has the offensive skills to score from the back row as an opposite.     Zarzana is an excellent player. As part of a talented Camas program, she could play any position across the front row and contribute when her number was called. Her versatility is a strength of her game, and she will have a chance to shine during the club season with NPJ 17 National.
