Elise is another setter from PV that we didn’t see much of last year, but really stepped up to the plate at Prep Dig Sizzle. This junior setter is one that I believe could be a lethal weapon for the Spartans this year. Not only did she do a fantastic job connecting with her hitters, but she also puts up a big block and has a heavy arm on the right side. I’m not sure what PV plans to do with Kane, but I’m sure we will be seeing a lot more of her in the 2026 season.

There is a huge upside to the game of Elise Kane Elise Kane 5'10" | S/RS Pleasant Valley | 2028 State IA . She is a six rotation setter who can run a 5-1 and can be a problem for her opponents in the front row. She has a lot of length and athleticism where she can be offensive in the front row or can show a range of defense in the backrow. For college coaches who like a setter with size in the front, put Kane on your list of prospects to watch!

Iowa Select is back in the spotlight with one of its best Class of 2028 distributors. Kane showed her full range during the Exposure Tour scrimmages and found ways to incorporate the middles when off the net. These middle connections were perhaps the highlight of Kane’s stay in Des Moines, but she also has a knack for opening split-block opportunities for the pins. Her time in the Pleasant Valley spotlight is coming.
