Kaleia “KJ” Zeits is one of the few players on this list whose MaxPreps numbers tell the whole story, and they tell it loudly. She has been on Glendora’s varsity floor since her freshman year. In three seasons, she has 1,215 digs, an average of 6.3 per set, along with 877 serve receptions and 123 aces.

She knows exactly where that production comes from.

“I’m most proud of how consistent my serve receive has been and how much my range has expanded to cover more court.”

Range is the difference between a good libero and a great one. More court covered means more swings for her hitters, and that is how she leads.

“My team has been so fun this year to grow with. I always try to lead by example by being the hardest worker on the court and never letting a ball drop so I give my hitters another chance to score.”

She plays with the communication of a libero who sees the whole floor, and her teammates rely on it. The work behind it starts before practice does.

“I would love coaches to know that my players depend on me to help them with reading what’s happening on the other side of the court and to be kind on and off the court. I also took a 0 period so I finish school at lunch every day so I can get in my lessons and my strength/agility workouts.”

KJ is uncommitted. For programs still searching for a 2028 libero, KJ has a proven backcourt résumé and she is intentional about continuing to build it.

Please officially welcome Miss Zeits to the State Rankings.  She is currently ranked as the 3^rd best overall player and top libero according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings.  She plays volleyball for Glendora High School and also plays for the Tstreet volleyball club.  When comparing all of the players in this wonderful list, we had to take into consideration why certain players were asked to play up in an older age group.  Kaleia is not 0nly playing up, but in the starting lineup and considered a game-changer for her squad when it comes to ball control.  Not only is she a genius in serve receive, but her defense is on another level.  Routinely, you will see a  ball that is destined to hit the ground because no one is anywhere near it and then here comes Kaleia flying out of nowhere to save it from scoring.  I would love to get some measurements of how far her defensive range really is because it looks phenomenal.  Hard driven balls are no problem for her as she has such a nice and soft natural touch on the ball with her platform.  This young lady will be a solid addition to any college program in four years if this is where she is starting her freshman high school year from.  Keep your eye on this young lady as she is one to watch.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings.
