In what was a strong year in the state for 14U, Iowa Juniors pushed through for a bid to USAV Junior Nationals. It confirmed it was a squad with interesting prospects all around the court when I watched it in Indy. Collum showed she was a name to know with her strong two-way play at the net. There’s power in the swing that can end rallies with authority. A good feel for match flow and sense of the opponent’s intentions help get her in place for blocks. Collum has a high ceiling and an excellent chance to reach it coming up through the Ankeny program.
