Chandler is the epitome of pure athleticism, and she shows it on the court. Although she might not be the tallest, she plays a big game. Clara has the power and muscle to send the ball to whoever she wants, no matter where she is on the court. She also has insane speed and a powerful arm swing, making her lethal on the pin and behind the service line. Although she uses her strong knowledge to make the best plays, she doesn’t shy away from taking risks as a setter and always finds a way to make her hitters look amazing. She is definitely a setter you won’t want to overlook this upcoming season.

did a nice job of keeping her offense on their toes all day long. There wasn’t much guessing where the next ball was going, as she was always moving blockers and changing the point of attack. I liked that she continued to work to set up each hitter, instead of falling into the trap of setting the same option over and over. That balance made it tough for defenses to settle in. ~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

Let’s bring out the other half of RVA’s two-setter offense. Chandler has been an excellent addition to the RVA gym after an incredibly successful tenure with Ohana. She has meshed well with her 17U K.Palea teammates, producing several highlight moments at last weekend’s event. This Ankeny senior-to-be is a fleet-footed setter who keeps RVA flowing after transition digs. Chandler has also molded her play around various set preferences from her teammates, elevating 17U K.Pelea’s offense in clutch situations. There’s a lot to build upon after an unblemished run through Day 2 pools in Des Moines.

Chandler’s Ohana team surprised some folks at the Iowa Regional Qualifier. She and her mates served notice that they could play even if operating for a smaller club. Chandler epitomizes that underdog approach, taking it to opponents no matter their reputation. She showed that confidence again at the Midwest Live Showcase in late May. Controlling the action on the court, Chandler is developing as a setter with a powerful swing to be a threat at the opposite pin. With how hard she works and with versatility in her game, it feels like the ceiling is high for Chandler.
