Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Miller was a strong performer at the end of last year’s club season, and the Gretna setter has picked up where she left off. She is an ideal fit for whichever system Premier Nebraska 17 Black decides to employ. Miller is physical enough to wall off attackers in the frontcourt, and she also knows when to be aggressive on the second contact. Look for 17 Black to build off its serious accolades from past seasons.

How about another addition to the 1,000 assist club? Miller reached the millennium mark during the regular season and brought Gretna back to the postseason as a newly minted Class B school. We watched Miller make big gains during the club season with Premier Nebraska, and that immediately translated to prep success with the Dragons. 2025 should continue the upward trend with Gretna returning so much talent.

Miller was one of our persistent late-season standouts during the 2024 club season. It’s no surprise to see Miller thriving with Gretna, a school that has produced some terrific setters throughout its rich history. The Dragons are getting over eight assists per set from their starting signal-caller, and Miller is also leading the team in service aces. We’re keeping close tabs on Gretna as the Dragons navigate their return to the Class B ranks. Miller is a leader for a new era.

Miller has dramatically elevated her stock during this year’s club season with Premier Nebraska 16 Black. She has an extensive background as a defensive specialist but has carved out a full-time setting role on the club side. Miller can effortlessly push the ball from pin to pin, even when she’s not given an ideal pass along the net. 16 Black’s high-powered offense rolled through the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament and had more flashes of brilliance in a tough 16 National division. This Gretna athlete will keep rising in the fall.

Miller is the kind of player who can positively influence ball control in a variety of ways. She has a decorated background as a defensive specialist and can lock down any zone across the back row. Premier 16 Black doesn’t just use Miller’s aptitude on first contacts, though. She also helps set 16 Black’s high-powered attack, particularly during last month’s Great Plains Region Bid Tournament. Miller is a quick, smooth setter who can also get involved with attacks of her own. This complete repertoire gives 16 Black plenty of options for this summer’s GJNC gauntlet.

Here’s another entry for that 15 Red defensive platoon. Miller thrives as a primary DS and is not afraid to take a large share of contacts in serve receive. She backs that up with some fearless floor defense that really showed up in late-season events like GJNC. Expect more Nationals appearances from this group.

Miller can do a little bit of everything for Premier 15 Red. She has spent time at setter, opposite, and defensive specialist while standing out regardless of role. Of course, this versatility extends far beyond the volleyball court. We can expect Miller to make a multi-sport impact with Gretna in venues like basketball and track, too.
