Expert Analysis
Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Webster has represented a few different teams in the Premier Nebraska fold, but her role with this year’s 17 Black lineup has brought out some of her best highlights. Webster’s burst and quickness off the floor make her a matchup nightmare in front of the setter, particularly in one-on-one situations. The Gretna middle blocker did not wait to make a prep impact with the Dragons, and Webster continues to punch above her class in club venues. Her efficiency could launch 17 Black into a deep run through the USAV Nationals field.

Webster’s penchant for “playing up” made her one of the earliest entries on our initial Nebraska 2028 watch list. Since then, the Gretna middle blocker has carved out a niche as a leading in-system option for Premier Nebraska 17 Black. She works hard in transition to open up 17 Black’s offense in long rallies. Webster has already thrived against older competition through her prep career at Gretna, which has produced two seasons of hitting above 0.300 for the Dragons. She’s equally efficient in the Premier Nebraska gym and will keep raising the standard for her new-look squad.

Gretna High School was the “freshman juggernaut” in last year’s Class B race, so we were bound to include a sophomore Dragon for this 2025 preview. Like many of the athletes on this feature, Webster played some of her best volleyball this summer during a late postseason effort. She helped Premier Nebraska 16 Black ascend the GJNC hierarchy in 16 Freedom and was a go-to attacker in the middle. Webster knows how to operate away from the setter and expose seams in the opposing block. We also watched Webster flourish as a frontcourt defender who produced positive block touches for 16 Black’s defense. Webster’s triple-digit kill output last fall was just the beginning.

Webster has already made a lasting impression on the Nebraska prep circuit. She starred on a freshman-laden Gretna lineup last fall, racking up triple-digit kills and helping the Dragons return to the Class B tournament. Webster also plays up a year with Premier Nebraska 16 Black and has been an exceptional addition to the lineup. She was particularly impactful at the Great Plains Region Bid Tournament, where her quickness and athleticism helped produce some clutch kills. Above all, Webster is an adaptable player who has slotted into many different lineups and positions early in her career. That will pay long-term dividends.
