Winchell enters the rankings at an impressive #10 as a small but powerful player. She is a ferocious competitor and knows how to make the big plays. Winchell caught my attention with her ability to get the job done on the biggest stage for a high school athlete. She found unconventional ways to score using the block and when the set was off the net she was even more lethal.
Winchell could do the deep cross corner, fake the swing and tip just over the block, or speed up her swing and contact on top the ball to bury the ball. It’s no wonder she was not only a Class AA State Champion but also made the Class AA State All-Tournament Team. You will find her playing for SMV 16-1 and I can’t wait to see her live at the JVA MKE Jamboree, the Mizuno Showcase, and the ASICS Show Me Qualifier this club season.
2022 HS stats include 286 digs, 202 kills, and 32 aces.
2022 HS Stats include 316 kills, .239 hitting percentage, and 149 digs.
Holthaus is crazy athletic and it shows when she is a starting outside hitter in high school and then also sets in the club season. She is such a crucial utlity player that can do just about anything. It was no surprise that Holthaus was named the September 26th Maxpreps AVCA MN Player of the Week. I’m looking forward to seeing Holthaus live at the Northern Lights Qualifier, Show Me Qualifier, Prep Dig Gauntlet, and USAV Girls Junior National Championships.
After watching Adler at the Prep Dig MN Top 250 in December I immediately knew she had to break high into the rankings. She has such a high contact point and an electric lefty swing. Adler is definitely an up-and-comer that you need to keep your eye on. I can’t wait to see Adler live with her MN Select 16-1’s team at the Northern Lights Qualifier, Asics Show Me Qualifier, and USAV Girls Junior National Championships.
