Mallori’s Post-Season Houston All Star Team: 16s

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Now that the 2022-2023 season is complete, we reflect on what a momentous year it was for Houston area volleyball teams. With so many amazing athletes to chose from, this list was hard to construct. Mallori's post season All Star Team consists of 12 athletes on the first team and 10 on the second team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>MVP: [player_tooltip player_id='179888' first='Kassidy' last='O'Brien']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Recent Kentucky commit [player_tooltip player_id='179888' first='Kassidy' last='O'Brien'] is the Houston area MVP for the 16s age division. Court awareness, volleyball IQ, and command of the court are all reasons that Kassidy is the MVP. I am a fan of her ability to control the tempo of the game and not get swayed by her opponents. She is an excellent server who can get teams out of system. Kassidy is also a threat at the net and can attack the ball with power. She exudes athleticism and seems to always find a way to make the play. She really grew into a leadership role this year on her team. She does not back down from a challenge and her block coverage is unmatched in the area. Where ever she finds her home in college, they will be lucky to have her!
